Allows for the Knicks to have a true 5 out starting group and then let the bench mob of Mitch, Hart, Deuce and Clarkson create some mayhem against opposing subs.

I think we are going double big, but Yabu is definitely a candidate to have them play 5 out moving Hart to the bench.

The Knicks can definitely go double big even to start for sure but I wouldn't be surprised if we see Mitch subbed out early and then return later to keep one of Mitch and KAT on the floor at all times.

I think that should be the move. Another good idea would be to get another back up center. Huk is great but as a second year player they need someone more reliable there to not have to overly rely on Mitch.

This is what I was thinking too

Nuggets are going to be elite. They will be very tough to beat. We need to make a move.

KAT/Mitch/Huk
OG/Nance
Mikal/Hart/Dadiet
Deuce/Clarkson/Mcullar Jr.
Brunson/Clarkson/Kolek

That's 13 players rostered, gotta get to 14 by the end of the year. Leaves optionality

Seemingly would still be under the 2nd Apron.

25/26 Money:
1. Kat - 53.1 mil
2. OG - 39.5 mil
3. Brunson - 34.9 mil
4. Mikal - 24.9 mil
5. Hart - 19.4 mil
6. Mitch - 12.95 mil
7. Deuce - 4.33 mil
8. Nance - 3.6 mil
9. Dadiet - 2.8 mil
10. Clarkson - 2.29 mil
11. McCullar 2.2 mil
12. Kolek - 2.1 mil
13. Huk - 1.9 mil
=

203.97 mil in Salary
2nd Apron - 207.824 mil

3.854 mil below the 2nd apron.

Room to add a 14th guy at some point during the season.

Can even bring Shamet back @3.6 mil and still be below the second apron.

Not bad. Another PG or wing would be needed

Like putting that amount of dead cap on the books for 5 years for Giannis just to walk out the door would be one of the wildest and dumbest FO moves of all time.

He’s obviously staying this summer but that team still isn’t any good. Who’s their 2nd option ?

At least, by that picture, he looks to have a giant wingspan.

NEED to add Yabu but his salary may not count against cap if it is TPMLE

I don't think they have any money left for anyone that isn't useless on the floor at vetmin. Yes, I too, am concerned about depth because of health issues but Huk might be ready for a few more mins this season and Yabuty is thick enough to man the 5 spot in a small ball scenario.

He doesn't offer much rim protection but to be fair it doesn't seem like they will be focusing as much on that now that Thibs is gone who was a fiend for it. I'm not happy about that because I think it's very important in the defense to keep people out of the paint but it is what it is.

I think we get Kidd from Mavs and then we install two of Brown, Jenkins, Saley as his assistants. We're going all the way in, folks.

That's a nice pick up. Big forward and can knock down the three here and there.

But at least with Thibs gone I'm hoping the new coach gives Huk and the bench players more minutes DURING the season.
