If he was really wanting to give NY a chance, he would shut up, play out the season and then sign in the summer. He doesn't have to stones to do it because he's scared he's going to lose his money. At the most I offer Felton/Chandler/1st or AR /Curry 4 Melo and Billups. Thats it, final offer. They get 3 assets and shed Billups contract. That's more than fair. No Gallo, No Fields. You guys that are so willing to give up Gallo, Chandler and maybe even Fields need to relax. In Donnie we trust.

Honestly - I feel like Fields is over-rated by this board. I would rather include him then Gallo for sure. Gallo is only getting better and I feel like trading him now is selling low. Definitely no Mozgov and no Gallo in my trade offer.

I like Fields but he could go in the right deal, but even though Gallo is better to me than Fields Id keep Fields cause he can legitimately play the 2, and Gallo and Melo cant.

Gallo's already a better perimeter defender than Fields, getting the tougher matchup every year and Melo's guarded kobe in the playoffs...try again?

Take Billups away from the PG spot, he already stated if he gets traded he will not report and wants to be bought out so he can sign with Miami.

Sometimes I just don't understand you guys. Instead of envisioning how good we could be, how good we need to be if we could hold on the Gallo, you guys are treating him like he is irrelevant.

Common sense IMO says he is not only is Gallo relevant, but he may be the difference between us being an "Altanta hawks" or being something more,way more.

We shouldn't be thanking Melo for sh*t. This was his decision, and his choice of how to handle it. If he acted like a man, this wouldn't be an issue. Instead, he chooses to let his handlers play out this circus, and he is trying to force our hand when he has all the power to expedite this process in his favor, but chooses not to use it.

If we don't get him, I won't shed a tear, because it was always his job to get himself here, not ours.

The four main players on the conference call will be Dolan, the Chairman of Madison Square Garden, as well as Knicks president Donnie Walsh. Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke and Nuggets general manager, Masai Ujiri, will also be on the call.

The call indicates that the Knicks are definitely alive in their bid to acquire Anthony and that a deal can be made if both sides can agree on which players to include in the trade.

The holdup is the Knicks' reluctance to include Danilo Gallinari in the deal. The Nuggets want three starters, including Raymond Felton, a No. 1 pick and Eddy Curry's expiring contract.

The Knicks would get Anthony, Chauncey Billups plus other players to make the deal work under the salary cap guidelines, including Anthony Carter.

That's what he has to say. He's not going to undermine Denver's negotiations by publicly insisting on NY, it would look horrible especially since he's still under contract.

Dude needs to know that you cant please everybody. Make a move and stick to it.

He somehow thinks that we can give up a king's ransom to please Denver and he's going to come here and be that missing title piece somehow after we gut our roster. He needs to wake to get real, people hate on Lebron, but at least he went to a good team and not the Nets. Lebron is playing on a title contender, Melo will either play for a mediocre Nets team or a decent Knicks team if he thinks we should give what Denver wants. And neither of those teams will be contenders in the near future.

Melo basically has all the power of a FA. He could have delivered himself here with one sentence: "I will be a FA this offseason."

NY put together a package. Denver didn't like it. I'd like you to name me any star player that gave NY 7 months because Melo sure hasn't. He isn't freely available. If he was, the Knicks would have had him by now. Denver owns his rights. If he was making himself available to NY, he would have forced his way out. None of this "I'll have to look at extending on team X hard" bull. Please, he hasn't given NY anything. -Jitpal
