kristaps is sweating right now, he's 21 and will not know until tonight.

Now would be a good time for Kris to ring him up and apologize

Knicks are in position of strength... Bend Boston over or move on with kp.

Let me get this straight, the Lakers are picking Ball over Jackson the Celtics might pick Tatum over Jackson yet they think they can revolve that deal around him for Porzingis? **** off, Boston

Sometimes, a person will come on and their valuation/demands are pretty nuts, and it is clear that they don't want to make a deal. They are just there for the massive publicity. Cuban calls them "Shark Tank Gold Diggers"

I think that is what Phil is doing here.

If he's doing that it's stupid and petty

I don't have a problem with it, if he straightens things out with KP

Then we just need someone to straighten out Phil

Nah. If KP won't pick up the phone, you gotta send messages in other ways.

It's a bad business practice. You don't play stupid games with your players. It can hurt the relationship with your players, and other players around the league won't take kindly to it.

That's a Hershell Walker kind of trade.

Knicks can take: Josh Jackson, Fox, and Isaac...the SF, PF and PG of the future for just ONE guy.

None of those guys are better than KP. Only one with "star" potential there is Jackson, and his potential is less than KP's

Bingo. There are other ways to fill via positions...no need to use our best asset to get potential at each position.

You just don't make this kind of deal. Not in this draft. The players simply are not good enough. Kristaps is better. Period.

Even if KP can't seem to stay healthy and the history of guys with lanky bodies doesn't bode well for KP?

what does this publicity accomplish ? i'm pretty sure he got enough yesterday anyway.and it's till going on today. there seems to be a lot of back and forth offering just for publicity.

Its like winning the lottery and then using all the money to buy more lottery tickets. No thank you.

You're right... but at the same time if someone offers to trade for your ferrari for 3-4 potentially more ferraris, and you got a feeling there's a good chance at least 2 of those will turn into ferraris, you have to at least consider it. You have to take a chance, to take a gamble. That separates the good from the great.

KP could be a great all star, but if we get 2-3 (3rd pick, 7th pick, Brooklyn pick, Jaylen Brown) back that could be great all stars too, it could completely change the organisation to rebuild around 2-3 all stars, instead of just 1.

I'm thinking clearly now...Phil can only trade KP if he's getting something like #3, BK 2018, Brown, and some other asset at the very least.

Ainge wants to try and fleece by offering up just the #3, Brown, and Crowder

You can either have KP

or

You can have a war chest of assets

You pick.

KP is not obligated to pick up the phone. It's the off-season. If pjax wants to mend the relationship this isn't a step in the right direction

The value for the #1 pick in this year's draft was already set (via trade) at #3 and then the PHI/LAL 2018 pick. It's said that if KP were in this draft, he'd be #1, so that puts his value above what was previously set. Add to the fact that KP is already a guy that can step in for them and put up 20, 8, and 2 blks right now, with ability to improve, and on a rookie contract, leaving them with the cap space to still add another FA this year. They need to be throwing in another pick or taking on Noah's contract, or else no deal.

why ? he would be better off in boston. a better coach. a better team. a franchise with a history of success. it would be better for him in almost every way. he'll probably reach the promise he wouldn't here over there.

It's not for publicity in Phil's case. It is to flex on KP.
