simmons for grant+x makes so much sense for both teams.

im not sure I love Cade/Simmons together.

I do, tbh. Cade can shoot and could also develop off the ball when sharing the floor with simmons. I would pull the trigger if I am detroit. simmons would make them also more interesting (ticket sales, tv games...).
And a Embiid, Harris, Grant front court for Philly? nice.

Odds that "young player" Philly is asking for is Cade.

Kinda feels like Morey is gonna take pleasure in sending Simmons to Detroit too. Plus that Pistons pick could be good.

if they would the trade now, it would be grant + one of hayes/j.jackson and one of bay/stewart for salary reasons.

I doubt it. Well maybe it is because Morey is delusional but Detroit surely wouldn't do that

I doubt it's brickillian because he's terrible. Maybe it's saddiq bey or isiah stewart

Curry/Maxey/Grant/Harris/Embiid

with Milton/Thybulle/Bey/Niang/Drummond off the bench is a really solid squad. They would even have Danny Green and Kork as extra depth.

crazy mix of shotmaking and defense. absolute contender imo IF (IF!) Embiid is healthy.

Grant is good but he doesn’t really move the Sixers into contender status. Morey fumbled the bag when he could’ve gotten Harden or Brogdon + Levert

I agree he fumbled the bag big time but at this point Grant + Bey offer at least gets them quality nba players that can help and they both would fit into phillies scheme. Shot makers that can defend multiple positions and can play off Embiid.

It def a worse offer then what they have gotten but at this time beggars can't be choosers. It's obvious Ben Simmons isn't going to play another game for Philly. All this welcoming him back and giving him time to get his "mental" right is just window dressing to try to try to get back some leverage in trade negotiations.

We have no idea how long Embiid has left in his career (thats the case for any big). Grant and Bey with a healthy embiid and the rest of the roster at least is a eastern conference contender. They need to make some kind of move soon.

They get better but ultimately they still lose to the Bucks, Heat, probably the Nets and I could see the bulls even beating them too. Morey got too greedy and now has to accept players that won’t even take him to true contender status

It is what it is at this point. He made his bed he has to lay in it.

I do think the East is wide open. I could see any team you mentioned above winning the east even the sixers. Out of any lineup that has played over 100 mins together this year the sixers starting lineup has the best NET rating. Embiid is that good and they have quality defenders and shot makers for the post season (especially if the maxey jump is real).

Adding guys like Grant + Bey and replacing a washed up vet like Danny Green would be a huge improvement for the sixers IMO.

It's kinda off that Kanter is going in on LeBron for Nike and it's slave labor when he is working in a country that's its minimum wage doesn't support the cost of living or provide medical. Also if he was really bout it he would be going at his employer who supports Nike not LeBron but whatever. Keep the show up Kanter.

It is hypocritical of him

But the hypocrisy shouldn't stop it from still being a valid point

It's not just LeBron, Nike, the NBA, but America as a whole, where social justice is only acceptable so long as it's profitable. Second it impacts the bottom line, it gets ignored.

They turned down Brogdon + Levert for Jerami Grant?

I sort of get it though, it would give them kind of the same thing the Nuggets have with two tweener 4s where they can better hide Harris while staying big. I think it's obvious they want to give the keys to Maxey, outside of bringing in Lillard I can't see them putting him back on the bench so no need for Brogdon.
