i like the move but that's hilarious, totally thought of lee too! One thing i'd say is lee was kinda at the tail end of his career even tho he played 30 MPG for us. I'd also like to see hart come off the bench and leave the starters intact.

The Knicks used a first rounder on Knox, traded him and a first rounder for Cam, then used him and a first rounder to get Hart. So the Knicks have used 3 first rounders to acquire Hart instead of use 3 first rounders to get Mitchell...hmmm

Any details on the conclusion of the Jarts trade? What does the three team talk amount to? Allegedly a TPE? Can anyone verify anything?

RJ: 34.9mpg
Grimes: 30.5mpg
IQ: 27.9mpg
Obi: 15.1mpg
Deuce: 13.1mpg

You can probably cut 5 mpg from RJ and Deuce becomes a "situational" player - so that creates roughly 18mpg. Assuming Thibs stays with Obi as the primary backup to Randle, rhe remaining minutes would need to come from Grimes and IQ, which is unfortunate.

That is not how Thibs work. Most likely he get Deuce minutes and Deuce minutes only.

Thibs loves Hart man - there's no way Hart rots on the bench. I think the caveat with Hart is that he has never played a full season - he's likely to sit out some games.

Shades of Courtney Lee, Wes Matthews, Aaron Aflallo, and the legendary Alec Burks. Of course all of them are direct descendants of Shandon Anderson, but I digress.

Would love closure on this deal. Is it a three team deal? Did we get anything else? How long we gotta wait for these details. Google has nothing.

All those guys would have been fine if the roster was already built. But they tried to plug in these guys for bigger roles and that’s where it failed miserably.

Courtney Lee could shoot. Well. Josh Hart can't.

I don't get the comparison at all.

at least hart is a few years younger than when we had those guys and we might be able to get a couple prime years out of him

Hart has a +3.3 net rating so far this season.

Cut and paste generic veteran role playing starter at SG for a Knicks team pretending to be a regular-season contender. I agree Hart is a nice player, but let's not pretend Leon didn't send out 2 FRPs to get him, not to mention likely benching his last two FRPs (Grimes/Deuce) to play him, not to mention an expensive role-playing (French) free-agent SG collecting dust on the bench.

The MSG role player show rolls on.

If the question is whether Leon is a poor POBO, you find any disagreement from me. The Cam trade was a debacle on both the part of Thibs and the front office. Very poorly handled. But I'm not going to loss sleep over that now. Hart is a nice addition. He improves the defensive flexibility of the team and he's an excellent rebounder. These kind of players are gold in the playoffs. Think of PJ Tucker. Look how valuable Frank was to Dallas in the playoffs. That's Frank were talking about. Anyhow, we improved the team and did no harm.

What we need is a third all star type talent to go along with Randle and Brunson. We'll have more flexibility to make a deal over the summer once RJ's extension kicks in. By then we should know whether we want to keep him or trade him. I'm still holding out hope for an OG trade over the summer ... or Mikal or Cam Johnson.

Doesn't work that way. At the least, they exchanged that trail for Hart, who was also a 1st rounder, so -1
