Probably about $30M of market cap. That's Lin's and mini-Eddy's contract.

Didn't someone post before it was more like 50 million?

Well maybe at around 2% it was that.

I don't understand why we would let him walk.

They won't. Because they can make that back and more just by having Lin. And it's not like he was bad. He's certainly better than Felton. So he'll make you money and he's the best PG you have. Why would they just let that go?

Fixed it.

If I were Dolan, I'd want stocks to drop this summer significantly so I could buy them fully knowing that as long as Knicks & Rangers do well, and renovations nearly complete it would go back up.

Yeah, I don't think the Knicks can take the PR hit if Lin becomes an all-star level PG in Houston.

Agreed Dolan is a paranoid **** no way he would let that happen. I think they will bring him back as well.

here i'll kick things off.

while i think melo is definitely a cancer who can't win a playoff game and should be traded at the first available opportunity, i applaud him for forcing lin off the team, since lin's a selfish disloyal flash in the pan who can't play defense and is significantly worse than the fattest guard in the league in every respect. paying $300 million dollars for him (i did the luxury tax calculations myself and i think that's what it'll come to) is absurd, but i'll still go root for the rockets if we don't match.

The latest calculation was $43MM... ESPN posted a corrected article saying the original calculation was erroneous.

Dude calm down. Felton is garbage. Stop justifying this stupidity at the fear of losing Lin. He's not leaving. The Knicks are not stupid.
