I feel absolutely no rage towards the Lakers. I always thought Dwight was ending up there, and I'm glad Kobe is going to get another shot at a ring.

I just wonder why every team rushes to do them favors. It's not hating, just wondering.

The Lakers success has absolutely nothing to do with the Knicks.

No rage here. I'm happy that:

A) Howard is on a West Coast team
B) He'll never be a Net (sorry Deron)
C) Morey and Houston are left out

I'm actually thinking that being involved in any deal with the Lakers, teams know they will get something out of it too, even if it doesn't look like it initially.

The Magic had a better deal from the Nets... I just dont get it. This deal makes absolutely no sense for the Magic, and they dont even get rid of Hedu. What **** value. Im losing all hope, no matter what the situation...the Lakers always seem to come out as winners.

Silver lining:

LOSER: Brooklyn If Howard's inexplicable February flip-flop never happened, the Nets would have launched their new stadium with a Howard/Williams duo. Instead, they're headed for a series of second-round playoff exits with one of the least charismatic playoff contenders ever assembled. Will anyone care? Not really. Did I mention the NBA is coming to Brooklyn? How much fun is that going to be?

They weren't getting rid of Hedo--who is an expiring next year--in the Nets deal either. And they would be paying Brook 58 million when all they really want to do is tank in peace.

I'm only comparing a winning culture vs a profit culture. We have the same resources, everyone wants to play for us, but we always kill our chances paying ridiculous contracts to players who don't live up to our expectations.

The Nets deal kills what Orlando wanted, unless an overpaid Brook is a great deal.

Plus they get to throw their middle finger up at Dwight for not trading him where he wanted to go.

Besides i'd think they'd rather get rid of the longest/worst contract on the books, and they did.

I just hope Karma is real because I feel the Lakers have a lot of players who deserve to fail this year.

Well, speaking of karma, how about karma to Morey & the Houston Sockets? They're gonna be plugging up a ton of different players in the 4 & 5 this season trying to find a formula to work now that they can't get Dwight or Bynum.
If Amar'e shows even a little improvement from last season then we could just pawn him to Houston for a king's ransom to send to the Clippers for a CP3 deal & sell Houston on the fact that Lin & Amar'e have chemistry :D

Another reason to think it will be a 1 year window for this group.

Please just stop. they aren't the knicks. they care more about being competitive and winning titles than they do about luxury tax. it isn't a one year window.

I have no doubt that the Knicks wouldn't care about the lux tax if it was Dwight Howard and not an overpaid backup.

Are we REALLY going to do "this" again? This "so we can't be the best, luckiest, etc" so we're "doommed I tell ya, dooooooomed!!!" way of thinking?

Not every team could get Lebron? 1 did...wasn't us or 28 other teams that would have wanted him.

Not every team could get Howard? 1 did...wasn't us or 28 other teams that would have wanted him.

Nothing happens around the league without it reflecting poorly on the Knicks in some way

The Knicks have been doomed for a bit, so lets not act like it hasn't been true.

Damn as if TNT didn't show enough Laker games as it is. The Lakers and Heat should just combine and form their own network

Return to New York Knicks
