Re: Build a Franchise (Season 8) Discussion Thread
Memphis just grabbed two of my favorites for the second round. Mogbo has a really interesting combination of tools. It just made me nervous that I couldn't peg a position for him, but he's pretty unique. I would have happily spent a second-round pick on him.
I had Chomche earmarked for my draft and stash options. He's gonna take a while, but he's got a really fun combination of length and mobility...plus I like how well he times his block attempts.
Nice pair of picks.

Nice pair of picks.
Mogbo is someone I like as well...my concern with guys with that type of skillset is what team does he go to and will they value his skill set and let him play with the ball in his hands (and does he warrant that at the next level). He has some decent ball handling and passing but he isn't really a weapon without the ball. So the concern is always if teams aren't going to let him have usage like in college does he have any off ball skills?
Will really have to make his name on defense first to reward playing time and then showcase some of skills. Fit will matter because if you can pair him with another big that can shoot in a second unit I think he can carve out a nice role.

Memphis is Finally done drafting.
I drafted and insane amount of athleticism to the team.
Hopefully a good portion of this draft can give me a core.

Yeah, his defensive upside is pretty exciting. He should be really switchable with that crazy wingspan, and I think he projects to be a good help defender in the right system. The offense will be a project early, but if a team can add any kind of jumper to his game, his ability to orchestrate will pop imo.

Re: Build a Franchise (Season 8) Discussion Thread
Just in case anyone new didnt know in regards to drafting over the 15 man roster.

Yes, you can draft over the 15 man max roster. Players 16-whatever go onto a "Holdout" list. You would then have until the trade deadline to make a roster move to either activate them, EL them, trade, waive, buyout, etc.
Just to finish…anyone still on a teams “holdout” list at the trade deadline will become an unrestricted free agent.
