I hate Westbrook's game. He's one of the best scorers in that draft but I don't think he plays winning basketball and lucked into being drafted to a great situation. He's a better scorer than Gallo but isn't someone I feel should be starting on a good team.

The big advantage Lopez and Gordon have over Gallo is less absolutely terrible games. Gallo will still have the occasional dog where he takes 2 shots all game and stands around looking confused. It's happening less and less but Denver fans were calling for his head the game before they played the Knicks.

For what it's worth Gallo is also a far better defender than Lopez or Westbrook. Lopez has the shotblocking but is a terrible defender besides that.

That's still going on?

He is playing his same chucking style, but karl has him in the right role... he doesn't look bad at all...

You don't think Westbrook plays winning basketball? His team is winning a lot of games by luck then.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

We'll see when he knocks them out of the playoffs again

still, westbrook is overvalued. he got that contract not on what he accomplished but on a chance he will develop into a great player. in a couple of years as he slows down the thunder will unload him. he doesn't have a game that ages well so the thunder had better win n the next 2-3 years. and you know what they have a good chance of doing so-- but harden is a better basketball player than westbrook.

You said winning was the criteria.

Westbrook was a major reason for why they demolished their first round opponent, en route to the WCF.

As far as contracts go, isn't paying any young player based on potential growth?

Gallo is gonna get paid as well.......for potential.

What makes this loss sting even more was that the Nuggets were missing so many key players. Only 7 players played that game.

The Knicks at times function better when either Stoudemire or Anthony is on the bench. Anthony scored a team-high 25 points in the loss while Denver’s small forward, Danilo Gallinari, scored a career-high 37 points. The former lottery pick is one of D’Antoni’s favorites as well as a player that neither he nor former Knicks president Donnie Walsh wanted to include in the Anthony deal.

But Garden chairman James Dolan took over the negotiations and traded away a young player who complemented Stoudemire.

“Gallo was insane when he played with me,” Stoudemire said. “He is a phenomenal player. I said that when I first got here.” It was a revealing statement from a player whose production has slipped dramatically this season. Stoudemire also said that the Nuggets were “playing great team basketball.”

I'd be more impressed if Stat admits he'd rather be the man, like he was, and not endorsed the trade.

Stop dropping hints, and come out and say the shyt Stat!!!

That sounds like a subtle jab at Melo.

nowhere is he comparing gallo to melo, that's just what this board is doing. they probably asked him what he thought of gallo's game. you're seeing the answer but not the question.

and when you look at potential, you have to take into account what their game will become if and when they lose a little bit of athleticism... that is all westbrook has going for him, his game is garbage...harden is a better talent by far, not even close....

It's just normal praise that players throw around for each other. Rhetoric, sound bites, etc. Like Amar'e saying he wants to become Ron Artest defensively. There was nothing "insane" about Gallo's game in NY.

And Isola's vendetta is pathetic.
