They can only re-sign their own FA's now. That is why suicidedeuce is saying Melo is no longer a real option for them.

They either cut into cap space OR they mean the Heat will resign their existing free agents and remain over the cap. One or the other.

It's not all the guessing that's the problem. It's the guessing and trying to make it sound like fact that I have a problem with. Why do people need to feel that they need to be important by getting pure guesses out there in social media as fact? What does that accomplish? Anyone?

At this juncture, I don't think they'll have done enough to surpass OKC also. Westbrook would absolutely tear them apart. They have no shotblocker and Wade plays like he's perpetually stuck in NBA 2k14 slow motion replay.

They've never actually gotten under the cap because Bron, Wade, Bosh have huge cap holds.

Channing Frye has agreed to a four-year, $32 million deal with the Magic, source tells Yahoo Sports.

Pretty good move for them. Helps them hit the salary floor, gets them some shooting, and is young enough that he's not too old for their young core.

Let's see, Monday afternoon momentum heading back to Heat**

I suspect we're due for at least one more shift in momentum towards the Bulls, Lakers and KNicks before it's said and done.

What do you think will be the event to get things going back in Chicago's direction.

And for the bonus round, will KnicksGod be swayed by each and every one?

** despite CBA complications.

For journalists, it helps them get exposure. Before participating in this thread, I had no idea who Ramona Shelburne was. Even if I now know that she's a fat, piggy-backing shill, exposure is exposure.

I really don't feel Bron thinks replacing Bosh with Melo would be a great change that would make him happy. I don't think he views Bosh as done, or Melo as so great. My guess is he views it as a kind of wash, with the problem being that you are giving up size and more inside game.

If Bron would replace anybody with Melo it'd be Wade. I'm sure Wade's health concerns Bron more than Bosh's unimpressive Finals. But you can't kick Wade out of the Micky Arison Clubhouse. That'd be an enormous travesty.
