Shooting/efficiency is what maters most. This is black and white data. Porzingis' output was not that of a franchise/max player. The Knicks would be winning more if it were.
And if you were a Mavericks fan during Dirk's early years you'd say rebounding and defense matters most. And if you were a Celtics' fan during the Pierce and Walker years you'd say shooting and defense matters most. Again, you're picking and choosing where he's deficient and ignoring the areas where he's strong to fit your argument. It's not his output that's an impediment to the Knicks winning lol...
He's deficient at essentially everything besides blocks. Investing max money into that type of output would be insane if the goal is to win. We're already handicapped by the terrible Hardaway and Noah contracts.
