He had a really down year(mostly due to the fact that jim boylan is a horrible coach) but potential wise he is head and shoulders above anyone on our roster.

i wouldn't trade RJ for him

To be fair he is interviewing for the same role Leon Rose has.

He'd be our best young player by a mile.

Eh, the big issue for me are the injuries. As for the numbers, I feel we gotta dig through and realize that the Bulls are coached by Boylen (who sounds like a typical Knicks hire) and I'm pretty sure he's just got Lauri as a spot-up shooter. If his numbers are good, then we have no chance of getting him. If his numbers are bad, it might be a buy-low opportunity or just a bad sign. I'm leaning towards the buy-low, but not sure if we can capitalize.

I would buy low if the bulls actually think his value is low but I doubt they do and will probably ask for a lot in return

In that case, we probably should move on before we do a Melo trade, but I think the main thing is that people here like to wait until a player's value increases to its peak before we make a move.

My biggest fear is now that they have a President of basketball operations they jump at Atkinson who is a great development/player coach while the Knicks and Leon are twiddling their thumbs.

Then we’ll hear nonsense like “we always wanted Miller to continue to be the Head coach”.

Yeah they are definitely a bigger threat to get Kenny now. At least Kenny has CAA ties so that may work in our favor with Leon Rose here. Hopefully Rose gets him

We’ll see, on one hand it’s cool Leon has those connects, on the other we all know CAA has been throwing trash here for years. I am legit hoping Leon having hustled Dolan so many times...... avoids being hustled himself and actually is selective on how he relies on CAA.

Arturas sounds like a great pickup for the Bulls. He was one of my favorite candidates for the Knicks.

I feel like we may miss out on top targets like this if we insist on holding on to Houston and Perry like Begley reported.

True, too many cooks in the kitchen.

Perry needs to go. Houston is Dolan's guy so will probably have some kind of role. We really need someone with good experience from outside.

Probably would have made the playoffs if we kept Nazr Mohammed and Jamal Crawford hadn't gotten hurt. That was probably Marbury's best season statistically.

Also, Marbury won more games with less talent on that team than Melo did his last two years in NY.

Bulls got the type of hire I hoped the Knicks would go for. Has record of performance, experience with top teams, seems to know scouting and analytics. There's evidence that he can do well. Meanwhile, I remember all these Dolan stans defending Leon Rose with the dumb**** argument of "You have no idea if he'll be good or bad."

Scott ain’t bad. He seems to be the smart one. Mills was terrible.

It’s time to see if he can actually build a team for the long term.
