If the NBA wants the Knicks in the playoffs so badly, it obviously hasn't translated to much effective bias toward them lol.

Also, Nate M. obviously hasn't studied much film of the way games are reffed vis-a-vis the Knickerbockers lol.

Luca flies in tomorrow.

He will clear Covid protocols by Friday of next week. He can join the team then.

That means he could still be available to play as early as Game 4 on Sunday, May 30th

Sure, Thibs said he's a Summer evaluation, but that doesn't mean anything, because Luca is probably in close to game shape right now.

This could get interesting, especially if we are winning the series and Luca could get familiar enough with the team to be in the rotation for the second series.

I'm not sure I follow. So the Covid safety is flexible based on how many Knicks fans want to attend lol? I guess as long as people can show they're vaccinated, it makes sense.

Yea, the NBA wanted the Knicks in the playoffs so badly it took them 8 years for them to get back and get there only a handful of times in 20 years....

NYC is probably the most vaccinated major city in the US, so it makes sense.

Knicks homecourt advantage is now looking like bananas plus. First two games at MSG has got to be a major edge

But the Knicks aren’t cool

Geez, that franchise is so disappointing. They've managed to assemble a trio of superstars against all odds and expectations, at a level that the league may have never seen before. Undeniably impressive work by the basketball people.

At the same time, their fanbase has remained moribund and pathetic. They were the upstart team of the NBA a couple of years ago, made the playoff in a shocker...and had the lowest attendance in the entire league. The organization literally is giving 50% off playoff tickets now, with three megastars leading them to one of the best records in the league, under the guise of "James Harden is taking care of the best fans in the world", yet when they're still not gone this afternoon as your tweet shows. The truth is revealed that Knicks fans - chastised as jealous or petty - have been right along that nobody cares about the Brooklyn Nets.

And drilling down even deeper, knowing Durant and Kyrie actively chose Brooklyn specifically because they knew it was a pathetic fanbase and irrelevant organization in NYC makes it that much more disappointing. Choosing to make top dollar with no pressure and no expectations playing for a relatively non-existent fanbase and media presence doesn't make me want to scream GOAT about those guys, despite their impressive on-court results.

Durant could win the next 4 championships and A) the Nets still wouldn't have fans, and B) nobody would ever mention him as GOAT.

Nets going to start giving tickets away so they don’t embarrass themselves with all those empty seats. We should try to get those tickets, show up in Knicks jerseys and root for whoever they play against.
