I did a quick search...which I'm not very good at and, it appears it was a suggestion from Mike Scotto about week ago. I didn't see any other reporters name associated with the rumor. Did anyone else mention we are interested?

Any way to pry Robert Williams from the Blazers?
With Ayton at Center and drafting Clingan and even Duop Reath on the roster I would think Williams is the odd man out.
Otherwise I guess we can just resign Precious or take a chance on Wiseman. :dontknow:

We are?

Begley who has nailed most stuff has mentioned him a few times . Scotto brought him up 5-6 days ago. It sure seems like he is the guy (or one of the ones) we are targeting/ have targeted.

He played 6 games last year. Robert Williams might be even less reliable then Mitch playing games....let alone him making too much $ but you don't double down with 2 injury risky centers.

His stats look good and he hits FTs around 73%

19 DDs last year; 14 year before that.

What are the chances Sims develops into an OK backup? And not just an in case of emergency 3rd string big man.

Sims lacks basketball skills. But after all that time with the Knicks playing in this system and getting to know it, we have to see some sort of development this year. Even if he gets slightly better, that would make him playable for 10 minutes.

No word on the Knicks signing non drafted players the organization claims they had high on their draft board and can’t believe didn’t get drafted so they sign them for summer league

Now would be a good time to see if any decent European Center free agents are available.

zero...he is soon to be 26 and plays like a freshman in college...he has zero awareness and skills outside of jumping high.

Why do we have to have Sims variant of autism and not the Barnes variant

probably wont be finalized until July 6th...that is when teams can start signing free agents officially...since the Knicks clearly want to expand the deal to include one of there own players in a S&T to avoid being hard caped at the first apron it will have to be wait to be finalized then.

Id be surprised if we made a trade with the few assets we have left. We don’t have to panic and go all in just yet. We’ll probably just bring back Precious for now.

Even Richards would probably cost Deuce. He’s on a nice contract himself of $5M flat the next 2 seasons, so about $1M more than Deuce but a year shorter. Deuce isnt the only one on a good contract.

Kessler would undoubtedly take more than just Deuce. He’s a starting caliber 22 year old C with mammoth size and 2 years left on his rookie deal, who was the ROY runner up and on Team USA last year. Even in a slight sophomore slump he was an elite rim protector and shot blocker this season. The guy has real value, especially to us as he’d fit our system perfectly.

Yall are overrating the hell out of Deuce, who is a solid backup undersized SG atm until proven otherwise. He’s a good player, but not the centerpiece to anything great.

Danny Ainge can find a better trade than Deuce, Pacome, Rokas, and our other crap. He’s probably just floating Kessler to see if they get any crazy offers, not trading him for Deuce unless they really think he can be a legit starting PG (which he isnt unless you have a big playmaking star guard/wing next to him).

Jazz are also looking to tank this year if they trade Lauri, so theyd probably want future picks more than anything we can give.

Unless we pull a Mozgov out our butts, we just gotta roll with Mitch and hope somebody else shakes loose at some point. Leon has always been patient, and we have time.

We really should trade Randle if we aren’t gonna extend. He’s gonna ask for the full ufa max. We’ll be way past the second apron and Brunson hasn’t even gotten his contract yet
