c'mon man, you really think that will do it ?

undoubtedly they'll trade gobert. what's funny is though, when gobert is out, the jazz kind of suck. he's not better but he might be more important. or at least as important.

Maybe add in our Dallas picks with that lol. Slim chance we get Mitchell and I agree it does seem inevitable they trade Gobert. They will be a lot worse without his rim protection for sure

I think its just his way of putting Frank in a trade

considering Frank is a "massive bust" why is he being used as a trade asset? When our pick alone is not even close to an offer the Jazz would accept for Mitchell.

It would probably take something like RJ + 2 of our own picks for the Jazz to even take the call...but yeah, they are probably trading Gobert instead

the jazz are kind treadmilly though. I know a team 18 games over .500 shouldn't be considered treadmill but they aren't a championship contender and they will never get a draft pick high enough to pair another star around Mitchell. They also wont attract top FA's to Utah.

I doubt they get what they want for someone like Gobert. Centers who get traded don't really pull back full value. What team is going to give up a ton for a defensive minded center? I mean he is one of the best in the game. But will they get back enough value to make them a serious contender?

If not your best bet is probably get an absolute haul for mitchell now before you considers leaving.

Frank is good friends with Mitchell. If we really going after him, Frank needs to stay.

But realistically if anything, they would just trade Gobert. Hes UFA in 1 year.

No you are correct, they are a high level treadmill team, kinda like the Hawks were...

Mitchell is only 23. Even if the Jazz wanted to rebuild, it makes sense to rebuild around him. It really would make no sense for them to intentionally bottom out and start over from scratch when they have a lot of good foundation pieces. Jazz aren't contenders, but they are not that far away either. If they could find one big move they could be there like the Raptors did with Kawhi. They arent in a bad spot at all.

Plus have to consider the market. I am sure they want to ultimately win, but they are in a pretty good spot and they have a young marketable star under control for years. As much as I want Mitchell, they probably aren't trading him unless things get really bad and he requests out. But all reports are that he loves Utah. They would be crazy to trade a young star that loves it there.

Reading the story, it doesnt sound like Mitchell wants out. In the end they both may still be able to work things out. If not, Gobert can be moved.

Cause his value is at its highest so it’s time to trade him and fleece a team before his value goes down the drain as usual. Also it’s a plus that he speaks French with Gobert :D

admitting Frank has value....

also Frank and Mitchell are best friends and would compliment each other perfect on a team so we would keep frank in any scenario with Mitchell :) :) :)

Nothing beats the French connection between them two and they are close as well. Frank goes in any scenario to be reunited with his French family :D

What Knicks will do:

Twin Towers 2.0 - trade Frank + picks FOR Gobert, pair Gobert with Mitch, have be as big a fail as Ewing/Cartwright was, then later trade Mitch.

Because Knicks.
