Not much of a gloat. Whatever. Nothing is decided yet, YMMV as others will I'm sure. At least I'm standing here facing the fire. Don't really care about opinion just actionable facts. We'll see.

The 5 stages of grief:
1. Denial and isolation
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance.

Yeah well, I'm obviously not isolated. Denial is your opinion.

When Biden is declared the winner here in the next little bit I'm not going to rub it in on you even though you would have done so to us and totally deserve the mockery. Plus it's true that you, I, and others who didn't trust the polls or Nate Bronze were ultimately proven correct. I will say you might want to at least consider the idea that you are isolated, isolated in echo chambers of partisan propaganda through various far right websites that masquerade as news that may have heavily distorted your lens of reality, I mean just consider it. In fact I doubt you would have come back if you didn't read some kind of dose of hopium that told you Trump was still going to win the election by winning Arizona along with a bunch of lawsuits but maybe that dose is wearing off as it's becoming clear that's likely not going to be the case. But anyway I just hope you didn't lose a bunch of money betting on it, that would suck.

I have a cousin who I love and get along great with who's a Trump supporter. My neighbors, I'm not. I have friends I've lost over it. But there's no reason why we all can't got back to engaging with each other like we normally do on the topic of basketball. Did you know that the number of Black voters who voted for Trump did so out of protest against the Democratic Party that has failed them? Honestly, I'm tired of all of the hate back and forth between people of different parties. Meeting anger with anger isn't going to accomplish anything. Plus, it sucks being angry and arguing about until you're blue in the face isn't going to change the outcome.

Now I'm going to have a cup of green tea with jasmine.

Democrats need to cliff notes their policies in simpler terms because asking a Republican to give their viewpoint on the book 1984, they would base their answer on what someone else told them. I mean, many of them still haven't read the transcript...

Democrats need to start tailoring their messaging so their point gets across in one headline. The vast majority of people don’t read articles they just look at Facebook shares and twitter shares. Don’t tell me bull about per capita positivity rates have gone down over x amount of time, tell me “We’re winning the war on covid” simple as that

Indeed.

While "Build Back Better" was simple, it was not effective. We need something that really strikes passion in voters. "Make America Great Again" was extremely effective because even the acronym is as (if not more so) meaningful as the phrase itself. I mean we're also using MAGA as an adjective. And as a federal employee, acronyms are life at work. Surely they can make something up that gets people rilled up for all the right reasons this time.

Why is there all this post-mortem talk about the campaign? Biden is about to beat an incumbent - who for all his faults has a rabid base and the voting power of those that vote red regardless. He didn't get swift boated and stayed out of Trump's way when he was self destructing. Biden keeps it pretty simple already, imo. As much as I liked her, it's not like they ran Warren. I thought he ran a solid campaign.

I really don't think dumbing it down is the way to go. Governing well is really hard. I think that point needs to be sold better. You need people with knowledge and experience of how to do it. How to listen to and distill complex advice from hundreds of staffers and experts.

Amen

I'm tired of the social distancing inferences attached to voting for Clinton and now Biden. They have their flaws, they may not be progressive enough for many people, but it's like you have to disavow everything about them to have any street cred which to me is a bullying form of consensus reality.

Biden is a seasoned lawmaker who knows how to run our country. At a time when that knowledge is necessary to literally save our skins and put out multiple fires, he is a massive relief to the thug he just defeated. He is not just the lesser of two evils, he actually is competent and a decent guy who do as much as he can to help the country with the powers he has.

And he did run the campaign needed to win. Yes, I'm sad we didn't sweep (fingers crossed for GA run-offs), but the reality is it was a race for Biden to lose, not just win, because the rabid support of Trump in spite of his unending failures and obscenities still made it hard to defeat him. And Joe did it, so my hat goes off to him.

Again, Amen

Don't worry. I'm done with the call-outs. I had my say. The election is over. I will not stalk any Trump supporters or attack them on basketball threads. I will respect their right to post about the Knicks. It will not be a problem. They are not my family, that's all, and I have no real interest in what they have to say on any topic.

You should understand something though. I used to have horrible fights with other posters here and I was the one who never sought to settle scores with them. I was the one who kept discussing hoops without rancor. I've forgiven everyone who has attacked me on this board multiple times. Look at Kampuchea or E-Balla. I still respond to them even after some of the truly horrid things they've said about me. Why? Because I'm not as grudgeful as you think.

But I was not going to lie down and watch fascists and racists try to normalize their behavior here and I think I fulfilled my duty on that score. BSB really went out of their way to misrepresent every fact possible in support of the most racist despicable human being imaginable. Maybe they'll grow a conscience some day and realize why their actions were so disreputable, but it is not up to me for them to have a good reputation. That's up to them and so far they have failed every possible test of character.

So carry on. I'm not going to be messing with anyone after this. We've got maps to study and bags to pack, remember?

Go Knicks!

An under-rated thing that Biden did, was something that shouldve been common sense to hillary and gore. Attach yourself to your popular predecessor. Why the **** would you not use an asset that you have at your disposal?

I want ALL vote counting to stop until tomorrow 6-8pm prime time. I want each remaining ballot to be counted one-by-one in front of a tv camera side-by-side next to the orange man. I want us to cross the finish line that GA, PA, NV and AZ all turn blue at the same time. I want to see that ego of his to slowly die. I want to see Melania crying for joy that she is now out of that marriage (go fu.ck yourself Melania) and I want to see a scare **** Don Jr because he's about to get a beating from daddy.

Then I want to see NY AG Letitia James throw down the hammer.

Now that's the perfect reality tv show ending for a fu.cking idiot.
