Who hates Luka Doncic?
I'm more pissed that the 2017/2018 Knicks managed to win 19 games in their first two months. They won only 10 more games hte entire years, but those early wins meant the Knicks were drafting 8th instead of 2nd or 3rd (where Doncic was picked) in the last record "slotted" draft.
Do Steve Mills, Scott Perry and David Fizdale strike you as people who'd appreciate what Luka achieved in Madrid?
They'd have drafted Bagley at 2.
That's wouldn't have made sense. Bagley & KP?!
The Knicks would have selected Doncic by default as he fit what NY had on roster with KP and secondly Phil wanted to run the triangle, but he didn't have the fulcrum that you need to leverage that offense. Doncic is the perfect fulcrum for that a triangle offense.

think that’s how the Cavs got kyrie and drafted Thompson in the same draft with the 3rd or 4 pick, I forgetaggo wrote:how hilarious would it be if:
somehow
we land like #4 with our own pick
and the Dallas pick wins the lottery?

I think they were already planning on trading KP to create capspace.
Phil was already out as the President of Basketball Operations during the Luka draft. That was the draft Perry, Mills and Fizdale selected Kevin Knox.
Those guys aren't exactly bright basketball minds.

Regardless of how successful the Nets are, I just really wanted us to trade up for Wiseman and couldn’t even get that done.![]()
Would have been happy with a young core of RJ, Wiseman and IQ. Sigh. Has really been a tough year in a lot of aspects.
Yeah Wiseman is the perfect big man next to RJ. Oh well.. it is what it is.
Now I’m hoping for Dallas to suck terribly this year and get two high lottery picks. I want one of Cade/Suggs with Jalen Green.
LOL am not ready yet to take a deeper dive into the prospects. Just too much disappointment from the past years. Hard to really like some guys and not be in the position to get them or the FO makes foolish decisions.
Anyone who did a little more than usual homework on Wiseman would now that he was clearly the best prospect in the last draft class.
