Only chance that Mavs pick is any worthwhile is if Luka gets serious injury while he is not game shape, better the pick stay in Quick range anyway

I’m just not a Dwight Powell fan. I understand he has some decent metrics but I just this guy make some mindless decisions and I feel like he’s a big version of THJ

Why couldn’t Silver start the NBA finals in December with the Nets vs Lakers? All of these games are meaningless!

You must have not been on the board from the moment we signed him till he was traded. See signature.

I did predict early in the season DAL was using him right last year, even though the numbers didn’t reflect it at the time of the prediction, and that he would become a competent rotation player.

So in typical board fashion, that made me a DAL homer / THJ fan

Who hates Luka Doncic?

I'm more pissed that the 2017/2018 Knicks managed to win 19 games in their first two months. They won only 10 more games hte entire years, but those early wins meant the Knicks were drafting 8th instead of 2nd or 3rd (where Doncic was picked) in the last record "slotted" draft.

Do Steve Mills, Scott Perry and David Fizdale strike you as people who'd appreciate what Luka achieved in Madrid?

They'd have drafted Bagley at 2.

That's wouldn't have made sense. Bagley & KP?!

The Knicks would have selected Doncic by default as he fit what NY had on roster with KP and secondly Phil wanted to run the triangle, but he didn't have the fulcrum that you need to leverage that offense. Doncic is the perfect fulcrum for that a triangle offense.

Mills and Perry love there PFs. They probably would have taken Bamba

I think they were already planning on trading KP to create capspace.

Phil was already out as the President of Basketball Operations during the Luka draft. That was the draft Perry, Mills and Fizdale selected Kevin Knox.

Those guys aren't exactly bright basketball minds.

somehow

we land like #4 with our own pick
and the Dallas pick wins the lottery?

Kyrie won’t last the season and Durant isn’t a sure bet to finish either. These aren’t iron men we’re talking about.

All that you say is true. That's what's infuriating. What they were doing made no sense.

Regardless of how successful the Nets are, I just really wanted us to trade up for Wiseman and couldn’t even get that done. :(

Would have been happy with a young core of RJ, Wiseman and IQ. Sigh. Has really been a tough year in a lot of aspects.

Yeah Wiseman is the perfect big man next to RJ. Oh well.. it is what it is.

Now I’m hoping for Dallas to suck terribly this year and get two high lottery picks. I want one of Cade/Suggs with Jalen Green.

LOL am not ready yet to take a deeper dive into the prospects. Just too much disappointment from the past years. Hard to really like some guys and not be in the position to get them or the FO makes foolish decisions.

Anyone who did a little more than usual homework on Wiseman would now that he was clearly the best prospect in the last draft class.

Us after watching the Knicks get another 8th pick and missing out on the best talent in the draft
Image

I think people fell into the “small sample size” mindset a bit too much when evaluating Wiseman. They thought his 3 jumpers in college wasn’t enough. That’s why I kept tryna show everyone footage from high school that he’s not some rim runner but I guess people were too attached to Mitch. Oh well. Now we can only hope Mitch starts to show something offensively this year.

Outside of Luka, their starting lineup is pretty mediocre. I honestly think they’re missing the playoffs

Sullying DFS :o

Spoiler:
Nah. I get what you mean. Their other players are role players. Without a second star they're gonna struggle against strong teams.

I used to think Schroeder was just a stat padder but he looks good next to Lebron
