id be sad if we give up chandler and gallo bc i think we can get him for free... and giving up both will limit our bench insanely and lets say melo goes down for 5 games, how many scorers will we have left? stat and felton? who else is there?

we could win games with stat, melo and felton but we cant win playoff games without gallo and/or chandler...

I really like Stephen A. and I usually wouldn't question his analysis but a few things he's saying don't make sense. The whole notion knicks could have had melo months ago is ridiculous. Hes also contradicting himself saying that and saying at same time nets deal was much better. Which one is it?

I agree he was bogus for saying that.

But if that was the offer right now, I think it would be a done deal, if we offered two.

Now he is right about Dolan. If he is doing the negotiation, that is scary.

So how is he contradicting himself? And he been said the Knicks are dragging their feet and could've had Melo if they wanted him. His story hasn't changed.

I called this a while ago. That's why he made the comments about ..."HE HEARD THEY DON'T WANT HIM AND THAT HE MIGHT MESS THINGS UP". Then talking about the Nets publicly after they broke off talks. I said his camp and he would want us to establish his value and show we want him. With Dolan calling Kro who knows what how this will play out but there appears to be hurt feelings with Melo and acts of trepidation going within our organization across the board.

Yeah, it could be bad. The key there is Melo. Does he understand that the Knicks aren't dragging their feet but they are trying to get the best deal possible? Does he understand that what they save here would either allow him to join a better team or have assets to get better? You need to hope he does, because if he doesn't he really isn't all about the team and winning. That said, I think once the deal gets done or if he becomes a free agent from a less than desirable team, these things won't matter. -Jitpal

Not a whole lot. He wouldn't let the young guys hold up the deal and he said if 2/3 (Gallo, Chandler, Fields) were in the deal it would have been done months ago. He was somewhat conflicting if it was info he had or if he was speculating. He insinuated that Melo told him that he was upset the Knicks were dragging their feet and he was questioning if the Knicks management was able to do what was needed to win. Lot's of double talk about the Lakers in it and who really caused the Nets to withdraw. Basically nothing we haven't speculated or known for a while. Just funny stuff. -Jitpal

The Knicks thing wasn't said to be a done deal. He said if the Knicks gave up 2 of the 3, they would've had Melo. That's not saying a deal was done and we knew all along the Knicks were hesitant on giving up 2 of the 3. Therefore you have to go to the next option, right? That being the Nets. The Nets deal was also a better deal and if Melo would've signed there, the Nuggets would've had a better team and been in line for a better future.

So the Nets deal dragging along doesn't mean we wouldn't have had Melo if we would've offered 2 of the 3.

SAS just said we embarrassed ourselves with the Lebron stuff and he doesn't want to go into details

And thank you SAS for saying exactly what I've been saying about Walsh.

Stephen A at least makes some sense...... I like that he called out BT has a Gallo-fan boy and how stupid it would be to let wanting to keep him get in the way of landing a superstar in Melo..

if SAS made as much sense as he is loud, I would give it some relevance.... maybe there is some truth to the things he is saying, but I see a lot of loud talk and BS as well..

I missed most of the show did Stephen say anything where he thinks Melo is going to land or what is going on right now with the trade?

it is funny how he got one thing right, bron to miami, and somehow people see him now as credible. he's entertaining but i don't buy that he has more of an inside track on rumors then anyone else.
