I want no parts of Jimmer at ALL. we dont need his talents at the point guard position. We NEED SIZE. One who is an ATHLETE. One who can play some decent DEFENSE, Has some decent SPEED. He has none of that.We Need A PLAYMAKER. He is a Scorer/shooter thats about it. We dont need that from the PG position, when thats not the skill we Lack.People have a Hard on for him because he is White, thats it.Deep down they know he is Not what we truly need at that position for the next couple of years to do battle with the next group of upcoming PG's. I will be so Happy when a team above us will pick him.if he is all that like the people on this knick board are gassing themselves up to be, he will be snatched up by a team ahead of us. Knick fans who think he will be there will be fooling themselves and like to dream to much. And stop bringing Nash up,its a joke, Nash has Always had some of the quickest feet in the NBA,if you took his feet away , Nash would be a bum almost. jimmer doesnt have quick Feet. A team that needs his scoring will snatch him up. Stop wasting your time on JF and look into other Pg's who can be groomed and have more of the skill set to do battle with the young Pg's of the future. There are PLENTY in this Draft who fit the Bill of what we truly need from that Position more so than anything that Jimmer can bring to the table.

I'd prefer Marshon Brooks.

I was really high on Stephen Curry going into the draft. Jimmer Fredette is no Curry.

In college Curry showed a great attitude, good work ethic, and at times special play-making ability.

These are all major weaknesses in Jimmer's game. The kid can shoot there's no doubt about it. However he's also lazy and selfish. Those players fail in the NBA.

His shooting talents should earn him a chance in the NBA, but not in the first round.

Jimmer Fredette is nothing like Toney Douglas.

If Mike D'Antoni were to be reincarnated into a basketball player, it would be Jimmer Fredette.

We have like no chance at Jimmer. At the combine he looked just as quick as Brandon Knight. Him and Knight are similar, except Jimmer is better than him. The only thing Knight has over Jimmer is defense.

i really don't understand why writers keep pushing this. from what i understand, he is going to be well gone by the time we pick. and they're saying scouts are all talking about Faried now, too, so apparently he's going to be gone as well. unfortunately, it really seems likely we will end up with our 3rd choice, a wasted pick who will probably sit on the bench for a year before heading to the D-League or Europe.

Trading up in the draft is almost never a good idea. You're trading known quantities for unknown quantities and it's just not smart. This applies especially for guys like Jimmer Fredette: there's a chance that he could be a worse NBA player than Landry and TD and that would make us look extremely foolish.

Any immediate concerns for the Knicks that don't start and end with defensive center/big/6'11"-7' center is out to lunch. We don't need a PG right now. If the 17th pick has any time of utility to it, trade it to get a defensive big to get Amare into the correct playing position and prolong his career.

not with Dantoni as HC...he will continue to play Amare at thr 5, because he feels that gives the knicks the best advantage. We need to draft/acquire a big and then get a new head coach

What Mike wants is not important to Donnie now. He tried it his way, now Donnie is going to get players he wants and Donnie likes TOUGH minded players.....TOUGH & SMART. He likes the physical game, keep in mind a while back Donnie said and I quote, he wants to get an ANIMAL to play alongside Amare....Faried is that type, I just dont think he will be there when NY picks. For me the two players I want NY to somehow acquire in the 1st round are Faried and Josh Shelby. We also have to remember we have Jerome Jordan probably coming over next season as well....That is like adding an additional pick for us, I am sure in this draft he'd have to be a late first round pick.

1. We went with need in the past and lost out on some possible guys. I don't want to see another guy I wanted become the man for another Team.

2. Do you know how many people blasted Ellis, Durant, Curry, and many, many more guys during their 1st SL, Rookie Year, etc. Just because they struggled a bit out of the gate?!

Here are some of the reminders of the wonderful "scouts" here on our Board:

- Durant is the next JC, I'm calling it now
- Curry will be nothing but a chucking-tweener. His small frame will be eaten alive.
- Ellis is just another high volume, me-1st Player.

People are forgetting that even IF we don't want to keep guys like this (IE: Jimmy), they will flourish in a System like this with PT. They can then be packaged for the Players we MAY want.

Just look at how Gallo, WC, and Felton for example and how their values skyrocketed in this System...landing us a Melo. The Warriors were willing to move Curry for Melo, and the Cavs Hickson for Amar'e.

Do you remember hooooooow many people blasted the Gallo and Fields picks?!!!

[/Rant] [/Truth]

--Mags

well to be fair, mags, we didn't have a shot at any of those guys, and odds are, if we want jimmer, we're probably gonna have to trade up.

Jrue Holiday/Ty Lawson (two of the guys I wanted at the time) and Ellis were available. And Gallo/WC were products of this Team/System. ;)

As I've been saying: There's no reason why Jimmy wouldn't flourish here with PT, and can be Trade Bait if wanted too.

I honestly would not be shocked at all to see him go to Charlotte at #9. Truth be told that team has not single player fans can be excited about down the road. So instead of picking a solid forward (Morris Twin) or Wallace 2.0 (Kawhi), why not try get the Jimmer Show in town. Maybe sell some tickets that way.

#19 ain't going to happen.
