Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
A Celtics win tonight is without question the most favorable outcome for the Knicks.
Bucks have an easy schedule and Boston WILL be garnering losses as we move forward into April. They have a decimated front line and they have games against the Pacers and Bulls and San Antonio, not to mention a bunch of games against Miami.
Not to mention we play the Bucks 2 more times this season, the first of which is coming up this Monday.
To use a simple analogy, Boston has a lot of "defenders" in their path. Bucks have a relatively "clear path" to the basket. You've got to be kidding me if you can't see where the best interests of this team lies. Our schedule isn't getting any easier and between those of the Celtics, Knicks, and the recent play of Philly, there's plenty of losses to go around (hopefully not for us). Mil. is the only one of the 4 with both momentum AND easy schedule.
Come on.

I'm rooting for Boston.
We need to create some separation from the Bucks, also they are on a 6 game winning streak so it would be nice to break that too.
Celtics have a horrible schedule until the end so they will slow down themselves. Right now we need them to slow down the Bucks.

Boston.
Only because Boston has a higher probability of losing more games down the stretch- as a result of their schedule. Milwaukee has an easier schedule- so I will root for them to lose every game no matter the opponent.
That being said, I've always felt that Milwaukee and Boston would make the play-offs. I think Philly could tail spin. I wouldn't bet on it but they can't beat any play-off teams right now. They are 0-4 against their meetings against play-off contenders. They're 1-4 in their last 5 and they will play Boston and San Antonio in their next two. Two more losses, 1 game division lead, Boston and Milwaukee right behind you and wala -the Sixers are in panic mode.
It's going to be an interesting 19 game stretch in the east.
Something that the Knicks don't have to worry about.

I'll take the latter

Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
I am not sure if this has been mentioned but the thought of Boston struggling because of their upcoming schedule is not a guarantee at all. I really think it may prove to be just the opposite.
Think about it for a second. As we get closer to the playoffs, I am sure the good teams will sit their star players because at that point their playoff seeding is set. If the Celtics play let's say the Bulls, Rose may not play at all and guys like Deng and Noah may not play many minutes.

Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
Sorry, I thought about it, but I just can't pull for the Boston Celtics. Going for the Bucks tonight. With a Bucks win tonight, the Knicks would be .5 games ahead of the Bucks and 1.5 games back of the Celtics. All the Knicks have to do is keep winning, and the Atlantic division is ours for the taking. We have to pass Boston before we can worry about the 76ers. Pulling for a Celtics loss tonight.

Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
Going to have to go with Boston. We ned to create some space between us and the Bucks. In any case, we don't want the 7th seed since it leeds to a matchup with Miami and Chicago is an esier opponent.
If the Bucks lose today and we beat them next week, we weill have a two game lead on them.
Go Celtics!

Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
Sorry if this has been covered:
- Knicks still want to win division.
- Bucks are behind them.
- Bucks are bound to cool off.
This is easy.
Root for the Bucks. No question.

We should all be hoping bucks lose. They have been doing too good. Celtics already has a hellish schedule so they will pile up on loses eventually.

Yep. I'm hoping for a great blast from the past from the Celts (a 30+ night for Pierce, monster defense from KG, Jesus Shuttlesworth raining down near double digit 3's and Rondo going for a triple double). Come on Celtics!!!! Ya bastards!!!!

Re: Who we rooting for tonight?
I have concerns either way, but I'd rather Milwaukee won. If we pass Boston we're in the playoffs anyhow, and I'd like to increase our chances of moving up.
