Wait, so exactly how much better is In-N-Out over Five Guys? I was under impression that they aren't in the same region, rather than anything else. I think Five Guys is top notch. Curious to see why In-N-Out would be better.

Oh man, I hope Lin doesn't eat like Melo in the offseason.

Five Guys actually started opening up in California already, I know because I live here. Personally, I like a lot of fast food burger joints, including In-N-Out, Five-Guys, Habit, etc. It's a guilty pleasure. Heck I even like McDonald's and sometimes I go there because I don't want to have to wait in line for In-N-Out (both drive-thru and inside) . Actually there's a lot of Burger places around L.A. including The Counter, Father's Office, Umami Burger, etc not to mention all the food trucks depending on where you go.

Anyways, I wasn't trying to start a In-N-Out vs Five Guys war, but if there's one thing Lin talks about is that In-N-Out is one of his favorite foods to eat. That pic was actually a previous video he had on his Youtube channel where he mentioned sometimes that was one of his favorite post-game meals.

http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketbal ... -1.3539185

4. His favorite postgame meal is two double-doubles and fries from In-N-Out Burger, a West Coast hamburger chain

He's mentioned In-N-Out as far back as before the draft (5:37):

In-N-Out is overrated. I went there once when I went to California, and they just overload the burger with cheese and Thousand Island dressing with sliced pickles, which makes it a bit sweet. You're right that they aren't located on the East Coast, which probably means that Lin just got back to California.

Five Guys serves the prototypical burger and it's pretty good, but I agree with DocZaius on Shake Shack.

Not saying it's the best, but a lot of people like In-N-Out because you can customize your meal. They used to allow people to order an insane amount like a 20x20.

Adding more patties doesn't make it better. But enough about burgers, it seems like there has to always be some A vs. B around here, if not Lin vs. Dragic, then In-N-Out vs. Five Guys.

See I think that's your problem right there, you've only been to In-N-Out once. That's like me saying I ate Pho one time and I hated it because it had too much meat or onions or the soup was watered down, and that was my only one time experience with it. But of course I would never say that, because I know there's different ways of ordering and eating Pho.

The 20x20 was just an example of an extreme, but they used to give that option to their customers. When I say customize your burger, you can order it however you want it. Less cheese, more veggies, even have your fries cooked a certain way. Had you known about that, you simply could have asked to stay light on the cheese and less sauce, or you can do the "animal style" route if you preferred a different kind of sauce. It was a simple explanation.

The Lin vs topic is not going to stop, it's just part of being in a big market combined with all the attention he's gotten this past season, pending free agency, and the Knicks trying to improve. If it's not Lin vs Dragic, it'll be Lin vs Ramon Sessions, Lin vs Nash, Lin , Lin vs Iman Shumpert, etc... it is what it is.

VERY WELL SAID... I agree with you...

Did both of you guys watch the Lakers in the play-offs? Sessions was playing like a bonafide scrub. Even when Denver doubled Kobe, Gasol and Bynum and Sessions was given a dozen good looks each game his bandwagon managed to break under the weight of all his awful deer-in-headlights moments.

I would take Lin over Sessions 10 times out of 10.

I keep reading this cash cow thing and am starting to get tired of this a little bit. Lin will not be a cash cow if he doesnt play or doesn't play well. Look at Yi. Is he a cash cow? Hell no. There is no way to keep Lin and not develop him and assume cash flowing in automatically.

Lin will get a pass, by his fans, if he plays poorly next year.....as there is no Coach D offense for Lin...

Did someone just say Sessions over Lin? Dude is a scrub. Look at his pitiful playoff performance.... He is a good backup PG at best or a poor starting PG. I have only seen him penetrate. He has a pitiful jump shot, made very few plays, has even worse defense than Lin and for some reason he couldn't shoot for 3 if his life depended on it when he could shoot from 3 well during the regular season. Sessions played horribly when the Lakers used a half-court offense. Lin still played fairly well under Woodson who uses a half court offense as well.

Dragic over Lin I can understand but I see LIn surpassing him. He is over two years younger and has had far less playing time and experience. Not to mention Dragic will cost us a hefty 10m+ per year.

I would pick Lin in a fight to the death with Dragic on account of his growing up with ninjas and tai chi masters.

You'd think the myth of Lin's poor defense would have been debunked by now. Recall how bad Rose looked when Lin was on him. What looked like bad defense was mostly the fault of poor help defense and rotations (cue that infamous gif of amare pushing Duncan into Lin's face).

He's actually an above average defender, both man on man and helper.

Exactly. Lin competes on D and is pretty pesky, and has a high defensive IQ -- knows how to position himself and where to anticipate.

He also has good size and his short arms don't seem to hurt him.

It's pretty obvious that Lin is going to look to get paid now, which means he'll be a Knick for at least the next four seasons. And that makes me happy.

How do you stop that which feels no pain? Plus that's what they've got undetectable carcinogens in tiny needles hidden under the fingernails for.

Slovenia is not Eastern Europe though.

I have no idea where this myth came from, but I remember Linsainity like it was 4 month ago. Lin was Jared Jeffriesesque rotating and being in the right place at the right time, and was Iman Shumpertesque stealing the ball. He's not lock down, or anything, but he is far from being a bad defender.
