The sad thing is Melo came out and said that this season is a success besides 'the last 8-10 days'. This guy has no interest in being on a real team. I wouldn't say he doesn't care about winning because everyone wants to win. The issue is he wants to win by being the #1 guy and taking all the shots at the end of the game.

A great argument is to be made that Melo, due to his personality and play style, was always a #2 in a #1's body. He would have been great as a Robin to someone's Batman but his ego refused that notion. Even now, when it is clear he is no longer what he uses to be and quickly falling to #3 option - with his terrible defense and loss of remaining athleticism and quickness - he refuses to give up an inch on the team. He has a no trade clause where he holds the Knicks hostage and can basically do whatever he wants until his contract is over. Melo runs the Knicks in actuality. Everything goes through him. The Knicks cannot move forward as a franchise without his approval. He is content where he is, which means he is content with mediocrity or worse, since that is all he has ever produced as a #1 option.

Nobody hates Melo(the Person) we hate losing basketball and many want a youth movement. Melo the person is actually quite interesting(Check out the StayMelo channel on Vice news-really good stuff). What is point of constant ad hominem attacks it convinces nobody of anything; just a nuisance. That's what I don't like ..I haven't seen this franchise have a hungry, angry, team that wants to win at all cost since The 90's .
I'm fed up with guys coming into this franchise looking all nonchalant when ever we lose .
This franchise has been lacking a player a true leader that is angry and holds himself and the others accountable for playing horribly.
I remember when Melo said " We're playing good basketball, and I was thinking "No we're not " .
Even when we were winning, we were blowing leads and just playing bad defensively .

I think that's my biggest problem with this franchise and our past teams, That they're okay with being " Mediocre to bad "
We haven't had a team that wants to compete with the "Best or want's to be the best" it's always the same we're trying to gel nonsense.
And its aggravating to see big market teams always trying to improve while we continue to be the same .
Too busy playing weak defense and never caring about being a " Really Good team" or a "Good franchise" I don't like it when a leader or our team is okay with being mediocre or Bad. .Because it's definitely Not ok .
