that's the only reason I'm not really down with this fire phil thing even though I'm not happy with the job he's done for the most part. mills was an isiah guy(or vice versa), and i would bet if phil bounced, mills would still be here.

melo's the obvious patsy, but it was phil and mills that shat the bed this past off season. you don't sign the guys they signed, you don't have the expectations they ended up with. melo stays melo, porzingis develops another year, you suck another year, but the lotto and draft would be the silver lining. some of us have been saying this for how long?

at the same time I give him credit for never trading any of ours firsts. Seems like common sense but that **** has been killing us for years now. Not like he's gonna be around the team after the deal is done.

We all post these things, but chances are an article will come out where Melo and Phil reveal they've had a meaningful conversation and are back on the same page about wanting to win and win in NY, etc. etc. I give it 2 weeks plus or minus 3 days.

Buzz words like former MVP/DPOY mean absolutely nothing when clearly they have declined.

Lee is a role player, that is it.

Role players are a dime a dozen.

Me & you don't know what Phil's plans are so stop doing this thing where you make an assumption and present it as a fact. You've been doing it a long time and it's bullsh*t. Stop.

Phil has scouts and people that he confines in and a good guess is he they told him their capabilities on the floor and what they're not capable of doing anymore. Especially Rose with his past injuries. The thought process for a while has been that Phil has wanted to "rebuild" while fighting for the playoffs and it doesn't seem like anything has changed. Just more trade rumors.

I don't believe he'll blow it up, in fact he might add on to the roster because he has made it clear he wants the playoffs.

You are being black and white with your analysis of him being black and white.

He knew Melo wanted to compete and not rebuild. He tried and failed and now he has Rosen do his dirty work. He can easily trade Lee somewhere. Rose he can outright cut if No one wants him. Noah is here for the long haul most likely. LFT? UGH.

IT'S HAPPENING BRO! TANK COMMANDER PMFJB! STEALTH TANK!

That doesn't even make sense.

Sark has consistently been black & white, me saying that he is a fact.

And let me get this straight the one year he signs guys to compete is his last ditch effort and now he's just rebuilding?

That doesn't make sense.

He's actually been trying to compete and rebuild at the same time. The problem is he couldn't get Monroe & his first year he had Tyson, etc.

I feel like Phil wanted to compete as bad as Melo wanted. He had a clean break from Melo but gave him his big contract with a NTC.

That's on no-one but Phil.

You just made my point for me. Thank you. Phil is trying to compete with Melo while he builds for the future. Why? Because he had NOTHING to work with when he got here and Melo wanted to be here. Phil couldn't rebuild with no picks and letting Melo walk for nothing. So he bit the bullet but, he immediately tore down the team....he was trying to change the way we do business and he basically has.

If this doesn't work out...and I said this all summer when I bought in after the trade anger calmed down....he can change direction.

Lee has value. Rose may get us something but, he can be cut. Melo will get us SOMETHING in return. Noah is the only bad contract. We can reset at any time if Melo opts out. Phil knows this. He took minimal risks and has no reason to go even further in the whole JUST to make the playoffs. It isn't like he didn't want the playoffs before he tore it down last time.

It makes too much sense. He leaked the story to see what would happen. Period. Now the door is open. We will know either way real soon. Actions speak louder than words.

I'd like to see what he said with my own eyes. Instead of being force fed these tabloid reporters take on it. But apparently someone doesn't want that.

He'd fit them well and be exactly what they need to get over the hump and become contenders.

Would be perfect stopping their ball movement. As well as taking their picks lol.

a trade involving blake would likely have to be a three way trade, melo for blake really isn't fair value.

blake to boston
melo and jaylen brown to the clippers
amir johnson, wes johnson, brice johnson, alan anderson and the nets 2017 pick to the knicks

maybe?

It was very awkward and intense. The questions in the postgame were not filtered whatsoever. You could clearly see that he was agitated by the article and that he's starting to really get pissed at the whole situation.

Magic fan, I come in peace. If Melo was to hypothetically waive his NTC, would you guys consider:

Jeff Green (expiring)
CJ Watson (expiring)
Mario Hezonja
2017 Magic 1st (top 3 protected)
2019 Magic 1st (unprotected)

For Carmelo
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Melo+ whoever they want to clippers, Griffin to philadelphia, Embiid to NY.

Rose and noah to Philly , the rest can be had by clippers.

We end up year with Embiid, porzingis, Jennings and whoever.

Yeah... if only...

But I think we should do everything possible to explore options how to steal Embiid from 76's

MSG website should have them up either now or shortly.

At any rate even what Isola posted was exactly what he said, several of us quote his words even before isola made the tweet because we have MSG and watching the presser.

The meat of it was Melo stating that "if new York really doesn't want him here, that that's a conversation we should have".

it was a post game interview by the locker, he said other stuff as well, it's in the early pages of thread.

How would people feel about a deal centered around DeAndre Jordan?

We could keep him or send him off to a third team
