Or when fans search around the league for guys being paid similar money as a certain Knick player, putting up better numbers than said Knick player, and then claim the organization is inept because they didn't predict what you get to see on paper in hingsight.
As fans, it's so easy to look at everything AFTER the fact, and then decide who's an idiot and who's not. Or decide who's a great player or a great draft pick months into the season. It really doesn't take much effort or knowledge, but fans still pat themselves on the back for having these ideas. Fans will convince themselves that they are smarter and more cut out for a certain GM job based on these "findings", and no one can convince these types of people otherwise. Totally delusional if you ask me.
So here we have the same thing. Our rookie is struggling offiensively on some nights, not getting the minutes other guys are getting. 19 years old, and living in his own reality, creating his own story on a different team, in a different environment. Then.. a talented kid like Mitchell drops 40 points, and you guys revert to some kind of 10-year-old kid's mindset. "OMG, we should have drafted him, Phil is such an IDIOT".
Lol. It's really funny to watch you guys go to work.
I'm still taking Frank over this kid and anyone else. I've learned to just appreciate the... "process".. if you will. I've learned to appreciate the guys who are on the team, not just for their physical ability, but for who they are as people. This same behavior from fans is what has so many people here eating crow on guys like Kanter and KP. So why not just shut up for once? We can appreciate other players and their talent without crapping on the Knicks in the process. Even if Mitchell does turn out to be the better player.. as long as Frank is a good player in his own right... how can you prosecute the team for not having a crystal ball, or not having the luxury of sitting in their tighty whities while they pass judgment on every transaction weeks after the fact, with no consuequences for their predictions and decisions?
Knicks fans need a spiritual awakening.
So wait, are you saying you dislike when fans or laymen run with outrageous ideas about someone or something after the fact? Interesting.
