Last game 15 assists and he cant set the table?

And Corey Brewer scored 50 before. One game doesn't mean much. If he continues going forward I'll change my mind but one game ain't enough.

Understood, although he has had several games with high assist totals

Hey, as long as Burke stays efficient, I'm cool with his play...we can build around that. It definitely beats having to watch Melo iso and chuck inefficiently, and he passes better too. He's definitely been gonna be a fan favorite.

The shooting is great but the passing has been a nice surprise. Forget the big number today. Dude has been hitting guys with dimes all season.

Not only is Trey the best scorer and shooting PG on the team, he is also the best passer and playmaker. He gets guys tons of open looks. Especially in the pick-and-roll with Kornet. And he battles defensively. He doesn't take plays off like Mudiay on that end.

And think about it...he's been the ONLY player this season that has overachieved. Every other player has either played as expected or has been awful.

Trey deserves props!!

anytime someone tries to downplay burke's mid range shot ima just post this

Golden State is now reaping more value from the mid-range than any NBA team in 20 years. The Warriors are shooting 48.2% on their long twos in a season when the league average is 40.4%. They are making a bad shot good. “We’ve unfairly prejudiced the mid-range,” said Warriors president of basketball operations and general manager Bob Myers.

“The mid-range shot is a huge weapon,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said earlier this season. “I always laugh when people say the mid-range shot is a horrible shot. What if it’s wide open? It seems like a great shot.”

I've mentioned this before. Deep 3's a few years ago was viewed as a terrible shot. Same with pull up transition 3's. Then Curry starting shooting them at a high clip and it started to demoralize defenses and now it's no longer a bad shot for certain players and it forces defenses to have to be glued to great shooters. The long 2 is an effective tool when a player can hit them at an acceptable clip. It changes the way teams have to defend a player especially out of the PNR. We see now teams are already defending Burke differently than when he was first called up. As a result he's finding teammates for several double digit assist games.
