Looks like it.

They aren't going to toy around with the tax threshold to add another huge contract to the payroll.

The 1B/3B issue will solve itself in spring training.

Cash and others seem to be content rolling with Happ as the 5th starter, I'm sure they're hoping Manfred switched back the balls so Happ isn't giving up 10 homeruns a game. Otherwise they're hoping Montgomery comes back to form sometime in the middle of the season, maybe even sooner if there's a crisis type situation.

Who's at 1B? Vogt and who else? Dominic Smith would be perfect for Yankees Stadium. He's LHH with a slick glove. Excellent defensively and under team control contractually.

Looks like Andujar might move to 1B. I can't see them replacing Gio's glove at 3B for a lesser one.

Mike Ford. Jersey born and raised, Princeton educated, all-bat LHH with exceptional plate discipline/contact combination who posted a 134 wRC+ in his 50 game debut last year.

You know, I forgot about ol' Ford.

Hopefully he and Tauchman can keep up that same performance from last year.

So, no glove? Sounds more like a DH. Dominic has All-Star potential at 1B because he has an elite glove. Dom Smith is a first round draft choice. He got off to a rocky start with the Mets but has gotten himself into peak shape looking to break out. One problem, Pete Alonso. Anyhow, looks like your set between Vogt and Ford.

Betts and Price to the Dodgers. Not sure what Dodgers gave up, but I wonder if a lot had to do with making Dodgers a bigger challenge in the World Series for the Yanks.

I trust the Yankees in knowing how to maneuver the contracts of Judge, Gary, Gleyber better than how the Red Sox handled Mookie's.

Is there any chance Red Sox do a Chapman and sign him after the season?

They're under the threshold now but if that's why they traded him there's doubt they sign him to an even bigger deal next year.

Think so? They should have a lot of money to play with next offseason along with the luxury tax reset.

At least we don't gotta deal with that little annoying pesky guy anymore. Did the Sox get any good quality prospects out this deal? I sure hope not.

Mills fired, good young Red Sox player traded, and rich guy who'd have turned the Mets around backs out of deal due to Wilpons?

What an awesomely good day.
