i do think what you said is correct - when frank was drafted, quickley is what i thought we were getting.

but frank is still better than most other guys on the roster, with what he brings to a team

I like France Thomas but basically this is true.

Glue like PG; moves the ball while playing off it but will play some point; not the greatest driver but at least adept to keep defenders honest on a good jumper; plays good defense.

Yup

Jeffrey wrote:Quickley LOL is probably our best PG ... he moves the ball around and players will feed off that. Payton.. please learn from Quickley

Payton doesn't need to learn from him cause he wouldn't play again after this hopefully.

Toppin looked good tonight. We need to play fast, Randle and Payton are lazy and slow as sh*t. If we run we can actually win game. At the very least it will be some fun basketball.

That was like the badly malfunctioning Knox Robot came back from the factory with a new part and and was suddenly working great.

Jeffrey wrote:If I defend Frank because he has gotten inconsistent minutes.. do I need to defend Knox too because he hasn't gotten consistent minutes.

These top 10 draft picks AT LEAST need to get fcking minutes before we can call them a bust right?

If DSJ can get the opportunity, why not Frank and Knox.

That's all we want.

They could be garbage for all we know. But give them a fckin chance Jesus Christ

He did. I hope people realise what a guard really looks like.

you're totally right but sometimes you want to just grab the guy you want to not risk someone stealing him.

Being serious, this was a preseason game against the cavs depth. So we shouldn't throw that group to the wolves & let NBA starters crush their confidence before they can really turn it into something...which is why I won't gripe about Thibs bringing them off the bench, as long as he's consistently bringing them off the bench & letting them play together for 20-24 minutes a night.

Let's see if they can't keep this up against regular-season benches & start finally building something!

what also helped was having a guard who can put him in the right spot to where he can play to his strengths - close to the basket.

RJ and quickley did that for toppin. that was quite evident, and thibs needs to use his brain and eyes

Was it that fun I mean yes we have watched too much of Randle and Payton so in that regards it was better but I think you guys are overexcited for nothing.

Agreed. And Payne was coaching him just a couple months prior, essentially.

And it may not just be his talent, which is evident, but his mentality, coachability, and they didn't want to risk it.
