I wouldn’t trade Mitch or Obi by themselves for Huerter. Quickley and Knox could both go.

Since when did Heurter become a star on this board? What the hell did I miss that he's worth giving up BOTH IQ and Mitch for? lol

Because as of now he's better than Obi or Mitch, notice I said 'now'

Except he's not better than Mitch now and it's debatable if he is even going to be better than IQ this year. IQ was more efficient in his rookie year shooting the ball than Heurter has been in whole career up to this point.

Huerter is and will remain the best of all those players I mentioned.

Huerter's job is to shoot 3's when he's open thanks to the coverage Trae draws. He does that really well, and that is something we lacked when Randle was doubled. Maybe next season with the new additions it will be different.

GreenArrow has him drinking his recycled urine like a Fremen on Arrakis.

Little shameless plug for upcoming Dune movie, since that other guy is hawking pillows.

What is recycled urine? What has to be done to urine for it to be recycled? Isn't urine itself a recycled substance? Why then recycle the recycled substance? Or is having someone else drink the urine the recycling process?

For a short off season compared to the typical year this feels like the longest one ever. because of the optimistic energy around the team...no other explanation for my response.

Recycled urine, in the context of the Fremen on the planet Arrakis, means extracting the water from urine and drinking it —necessary because of the extreme lack of water on their planet — maybe like the Earth will be in 100,000 years if we continue to have climate change.

The recycled urine topic is better than the recycled poop one of trading Obi, Mitch and IQ for Huerter.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

JJ Reddick is interested only in either the Knicks or Nets since he lives in Brooklyn with his family. Moreover, he's allegedly willing to hold out until 2022 to see which of the two teams is willing to sign him.

He's a NY boy. He'd LOVE to play for the Knicks.

Kevin Huerter, a 6-foot-7-inch (2.01 m) shooting guard, played at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, New York, a suburb of Albany located in Saratoga County. During his career, he led the school to its second state championship and, as a senior, was named Mr. New York Basketball.[1]

I don't see either team racing out to sign JJ at this point. Great as a podcast host, but not really playable on defense. Maybe the Nets sign him as a stop gap in case of injury, but they've got some depth to their backcourt bench now.

We just signed Kemba and re-signed DRose. So I don't know that defense is as high a priority as it was. Don't forget, Thibs does love his vets.

How far upstate? Where are you drawing the line? I think Albany being the State Capitol is sufficient. Plus, he was Mr. Basketball here.

Albany is not near Maine. Albany is about a 2 hour 20 minute drive from NYC. Huerter's from NY. You can't say, "He's not from NY." HE'S FROM NEW YORK!

There's zero chance he wants the Knicks. He's Grant Hilling the Knicks to get the Nets to do something.
