Giants defense is soft and offensive playmakers are overrated.

we play 10 yards back every play nd give them 5 yards at minimum. Giants will continue to pick coaches and force them to be conservative and tight lipped. This is not football. Jones carried us and we had no faith in him to get a first down.

Terrible play calling after the interception. We had no intention of getting a TD, the plan was to get a 1 point lead and give Washington the ball back with 2 minutes left. Playing scared.

The best part was seeing Golladay yelling at Daniel Jones on the sidelines about something when just the series before Golladay dropped a easy pass from Jones lol

The drops were pretty glaring last night...the late flags too of course, but as someone who has never been impressed by Jones; I thought his receivers hung him out to dry on one of his better performances that I've watched (I'm a Jets fan so I don't watch every Giants game mind you).

Calling him Thibx sounds like you're trying to refer Thibs with a politically correct name

Yeah, like I said to melo earlier in the thread, I don't think this is the year to go with a QB high

Of course, I can't say for myself, because there's no way the Jags take a QB in the first this year, so I haven't watched any of them personally, but from what I hear, it's not a great class

So if I were the Giants, and I'm picking 1st, I go with Thibodeaux. Do like the Browns did in 2017 with taking Garrett, then worry about QB next year. Though to be fair, while it did work out for them, you could argue pretty strongly that they should have taken Mahomes 1st overall in 2017, but without hindsight, that wouldn't be a realistic suggestion

But by the look of things, y'all are gonna have to fight it out with us for that 1st pick. We made the god damn Texans look like a contender, and Tyrod Taylor look like Deshaun Watson.

Yeah the early returns it isn't a great QB class...but QB's sometimes come out of nowhere like how Zach Wilson did for the gets. Especially from smaller schools. Take Malik Willis for example. He could be a name rising up draft boards.

But yes. I personally think they need to build great offensive and defensive lines and then you eventually Jones can be replaced if you need it.

Your schedule isn't that brutal but yes losing to the texans like that is bad but I have to guess Lawrence improves throughout the year. Atlanta will probably be in those convos too they got destroyed by the eagles and made Hurts look like Warren Moon.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, even with my lowered expectations

I can excuse most of the mistakes Trevor is making, but the playcalling is not helping him. James Robinson, who is a quality running back, has gotten only 16 carries so far, which is 2 per quarter. Then it seems like we don't call any intermediate passes, it's like 70% deep passes, 30% screens or other throws caught behind the line of scrimmage

Coaching isn't holding us back from playoffs or anything, but I think with a good coach we'd be a 5-6 win team, but with Urban we're looking more like a 2-3 win team. I also still can't believe we drafted a running back with a first when we already had a good one on the roster making peanuts. At this point, I wouldn't put it past Urban to take like, Justyn Ross with our top 3 pick this year.
