If this were a series I would probably say mistake.
In a 1 game vacuum , a rested drose might be better than Garland straight up , so it may be less mental gymnastics

Starting Deuce would have been a ballsy move - too bad - and against these fast guards - a perfect chance to see his defense - and he is not going to hurt you playing the first 4 minutes of the game. Assume this means IQ will be dominating the ball with the second unit. IQ's assists seem like they are based off his failed attempts to first try and create for himself to score. The team wanted IQ to also be a point guard in preaseason, now they will get their chance, i just dont see it, but hope it works. Maybe they should make sure Fournier or Barret are on the court if IQ runs the point with the 2nd unit.

IQ and Burks second unit is about to be iffy af. Best of luck. I hope the rookies can see some action and not be more Burks.

Rose will look solid with starters and get them some easy shots that’s for sure. Cavs got some big men would be interesting to see our game plan.

i think he'll actually look better as the primary ball handler. when he gets the ball, it sticks to him a bit. he needs to dribble to make things happen other than open 3's. better off doing so as a pg than as an undersized sg

We need all hands on deck for a back to back against Philly who is #1 seed and would be looking for pay back. He had a good game against them last time so I’m sure that was a factor.

I have full confidence in Rose as the starter and IQ in the 2nd unit with Burks. I expect us to roll. I still think IQ is better than Kemba and not worried about the slow start

Not only that but we get to get a glimpse of how the starters look with the Kemba/Fournier backcourt broken up. I’ll guess the defense is still pretty shaky but we’ll see

Learning from Rose and Kemba will be great for IQ regardless if he’s better than Kemba or not

he does but our backcourt defense has been our biggest problem imo. we have to bench either kemba or Fournier. rose isn’t even a great defender but his DFG% is like miles better than Kemba’s. i hate having to play catch up because of our trash defense. and if kemba isn’t getting it done on offense he’s just running basically doing nothing lol
