Ouch, that's a bad day. Must be due to omicron. If you hang in there for another week or so and it turns out that while it's more transmissible but the symptoms are weak, you'll get a nice bump. But if it's bad news, oh the humanity.

Knicks have a +16.3 net rating in 53 minutes with Obi and Randle on the court.

It's obvious that Obi at the 5 is the future of this team if they keep Randle.

The problem with Thibs - an otherwise good coach - is that he's dogmatic about his principles, and he won't adjust based on what works and doesn't work. Benching Kemba was remarkable but it was a personnel move - playing Obi and Randle together is a commitment to small ball. It challenges his philosophy.

It was clear in the Hawks series the Knicks needed to downsize and go small with Randle or Obi at the 5. Thibs never even tried it, even as his team was getting blown out by Atlanta.

But Thibs wants rim protection, and so he'll play a lesser player in Noel over Obi because of it. It's really frustrating.

The Knicks have a Ferrari in their garage that never sees the light of day.

I feel like Tyron Lue would have Obi and Randle on the floor together pretty much for the majority of the minutes, like how the Warriors play Dray at C for more than half the game, even more in the playoffs. Ultimately, we're gonna need a more forward thinking coach, or the analytics department to get a bigger say in things for them to really start to play it. They're only playing together cause our C's keep getting hurt too.
