Now I need the SIM to get its **** together with Sexton. He has a career average 45.8 FG% but can only muster a 40.2 average so far in the SIM....

Yeah Sexton was on path to become a special scorer, nice low buy there

Thanks. I inquired about him and Coby White way back when as cheap microwave type points. He is getting 12.2 touches a game. I think he should be averaging 14 to 16 points a game if the SIM treated his FG% correctly.

This is currently what I’m dealing with with LeBum. He is at 43% FG and 55% FT which is ridiculous.

If he were hitting at the clip of last season’s IRL stats (which the SIM is supposed to be based on – which is why we are a year behind in effective production) then I estimate my record would be more like 7-3 instead of 4-6.

His efficiency is just way off. But apparently I’m “whining” and should not mention the unjustified flaw in a DISCUSSION THREAD… go figure.

So I guess you’re whining too

He got 20 pts per game last season in BAF with a similar 3/3.5 star ratings and similar SCR rating. His FGJ rating did drop a little this year but I think he'll revert to form sooner rather than later for you. As far as the ratings numbers that we see, he is basically the same player in the sim as last season. He did get 3 extra shots per game than he is seeing in this young season.

I found him best (for my team last year) coming off the bench in a three man rotation with Derozan/Hayward at the 2/3 so those three were never on the court together. Different team/teammates this year so your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the info. I am fine with his 12 shots a game. I just need his efficiency to get better.

Nah remember Wolverine Studios explicitly said they'll be taking into account the rule changes, their effects on players, foul rates, etc. This year is way different from the others in terms of the approach they took for ratings.

But at least LeBron will start hitting those FTs. The FG% might be here to stay.

His FG% right now IRL today is 50% tho. And last year IRL it was 51%. So why would it be a justified big drop in our SIM. That makes no sense. They can’t account for things that don’t align with IRL. That would make them subjective as opposed to objective.

You can’t just drop LeBron’s FG ratings - stats be damned - just because you as a developer THINK he is getting old and due to decline. Or downgrade him because you THINK he flops, etc.

I think some of these developers are horrible judges of talent. Some of it appears to be a bias; while most of it appears to be horrible projections. Players don't drop from .500 to .450 or .450 to .400 in one season. In fact they hardly ever drop that much at all over the course of their career. They retire before that happens. Melo is a great example. His career FG% is .447. He is shooting .425 this season. His career 3P% is .355. He is shooting threes at a .403 clip.

Maybe its just a slump and things level out. That is my hope for Sexton anyways.

EDIT" They don't go from being a 3rd string center to Shaq, like Moses, in one season either....

Well Moses is a mistake of how the rating system works. That's just a blindspot that's always existed that I happened to maximize.

GM NewEra is NOT happy about the Golden State Warriors two game losing streak. After back to back losses to the Jazz and Lakers, NewEra will look to make changes to the starting line up for the first time this season.
