Knicks essentially turned 2021 draft picks #19, 21 and 32 into Reddish, Grimes, McBride, Jokubaitis

i don't really understand why people are so excited unless we make more moves. it's not like reddish is gonna play more than 10 minutes a game on a good night.

I guess the point is, I like this move more if we have another one lined up to clear out some of the glut at wing. Consolidate into one good player instead of 3 or 4 mediocre to bad players

If we're just doing this, it's a solid buy low-ish move, but kinda questionable given he doesn't really have a spot right now.

Yeah, basically how I’m looking at it. That Hornets pick was never going to be a lottery pick and who knows if we would’ve hit on that pick. Granted, it seems we do good with later picks (Quick, Grimes, Mitch, etc) but also, Cam has the potential to make that pick exchange well worth it. Hopefully being around RJ & in NY ups his intensity or motor.
If it doesn’t, he’s probably taking min contracts until he’s out the league.
Hit or miss for him.

I’m not really sure what you mean by that but that was 3 years ago when they were 18 year olds. Reddish was not good in NCAA and fell to 10th. But he’s shown some flashes since then as has RJ. Maybe it will work out maybe not but we definitely are hurting for a wing who can play defense

Obviously more moves are going to happen at some point. You don’t make this trade for no reason.

they won't trade burks. fournier ? maybe but since he's harder to trade and coming around a little now maybe not.

I think you missed Scott Perry's latest PowerPoint presentation.

He explained very clearly that 4 mediocre players = 2 good players. Pretty compelling stuff.

A few thoughts:

1) Knicks committed robbery
2) What's the health of Reddish
3) Who else is going, because Knox wasn't playing so who's out of the rotation, unless Fournier or Burkes or Grimes will be moved ina bigger deal.

I do find it funny, just a week and a half ago, people here were arguing RJ vs Cam & also RJ impending extension.
Now RJ & Cam are here together and we have to think about extensions for both at the same time (if RJ continues to take strides and Cam proves to be worth the experience).
