What exactly are we doing with Ihart?

I burned myself out on cap rules and all of that back when we had Melo. I believe it's because we only have early Bird rights but, don't hold me to that.

It's related to the fact that your front office offered him only a two years contract. Or maybe he was the one to gamble on a shorter contract and the Knicks actually wanted to bind him longer than a 2 yrs 16 mln contract, who knows.

Sorry to intrude from a Mavericks fan. But I follow a bit I-Hart because of German roots, and since you guys signed Jalen Brunson this season from us I am following more Knicks games than usual. I could not help noticing how your guards all share the same disease: tunnel vision, especially Jalen Brunson: this frustrated a lot of Mavs fan already, has not changed one ounce and will forever be the last obstacle between JB and superstardom. He basically is not able to see anything different from the basket any time he drives. I was not a big connoisseur of RJ Barrett's game, but I was astonished at how selfish (or simply unaware) he is on offence. Quickley off the bench is basically a lesser clone of JB.

How does this relate to Hartenstein? I think he is frustrated a lot of times by the absence of touches on offence, there was a sequence last night where he was holding his head in disbelief after Barrett was not able to throw the alley to him even when triple-teamed. He can be very effective, as he was on the Clippers, when playing with good cutters and receiving the ball in the high-post early in the offence, but this also NEVER happens on the Knicks. I honestly hope he gets traded to a team where they play less selfish basketball, or at least one point guard in the whole roster is able te execute an entry pass to a rolling big man after the pick.

I was actually hoping we would sign him instead of cooked Javale McGee in Dallas this year. Do you guys want Dwight Powell on an expiring deal for him? I would swap them in a second.

I never said he doesn't get any credit but some of yall act like they wouldn't develop under anyone else. I been on record saying Thibs gets credit for changing the culture here but he's way overstayed his welcome. He's a good coach not a great coach. He could be so much better if he wasn't so stubborn and made in game adjustments and actually coached by the game not stuck to his philosophy no matter the personnel

I have the league pass and thus probably watched more full Knicks games the past two seasons than 3/4 of the posters on this particular board. I even root for them to win when they are not playing the Mavs (and maybe the Magic because of the Wagners). If you wanted to talk about Hartenstein I wouldn’t have cared, yet your post had nothing to with him, you are not a fan of this team and come to our board thinking you can speak disrespectfully of former and current players (yes I’m even including RJ in this bless his heart) in your unsolicited team building suggestion. I’ve been Hartenstein’s biggest supporter on this board since the day he got here, I just don’t like you.
