nick nurse has always done that

but the fire thibs crowd certainly has quieted down recently if that's your point

Thibs in Chicago when everyone healthy has played many times up to 11 man rotation!

his problem is that he doesnt trust the end of the bench to replace those who arent available from the top

Giannis doesn't want to work with Dame, and you think he'll want to work with our G*D Brunson? 8-)

This is Brunson team... for my taste though

Brunson (SGA)
Booker (Mitchell)
Leonard (George)
Anunoby (Tatum)
Sabonis (Jokic)

I heard somewhere that Giannis may be resisting the idea of playing as the roll man.

If this is true, then their possible lack of success would be on him.

Because Giannis screening for Dame is scary for any defense, and I believe Doc is on record (as an analyst) being in favor of more PNRs in Milwaukee.

they have too many volume scorers.

Spo runs a ton of sets which means a lot of 2-3 man game and a lot of designed shots for specific players. to me its not a huge surprise they had the most success last year while Herro was out because they were able to maximize efficiency out of bam-butler usage while sprinkling in sets for Duncan. everyone else was a spot up shooter and waiting for kickout to dribble drive. think about how many corner threes Strus and Vincent took off bam or butler usage. a lot.

it sounds crazy but maybe Riley and spo had it wrong the entire time and a high usage guard was not their missing piece but rather a Markkanen/porzingis/DFS type of player, that has 0 assists and just catch and shoots off bam and butler usage.

not sure why they Have not moved both Rozier and herro to the bench and Duncan Robinson to the starting lineup ..Duncan’s starting and back up splits are absurd

All these players complaining about the 65 game rule have nobody to blame but themselves.

Who even started the whole "load management" bs? Was it Pop?

He has no reason not to trust almost the entire team. Jacob Toppin has been phenomenal in dev league. Only way to prove he can play is to let him play. He can shoot, he can defend, he is athletic as all hell.

Scoreboard watching lately has been very eye opening for me. We have been dominating everyone for a month. Just won three in a row very shorthanded. Beat the Pacers with a 7 man rotation. Meanwhile the so called better teams are struggling to beat the Wizards/Hawks/Blazers and a Lakers team without AD/LeBron just beat the Celtics.

This is potentially the year we could shock the world! We need to get everyone healthy and make our run NOW. No star trade available except Murray. I really think we are a true contender right now if we can get everyone healthy for the playoffs. Maybe one more player can help us get over the hump. Maybe we can do it as is. I fully trust the FO to make the right decisions moving forward. This team could be as close as we have been since 1994! I have to contain myself but, it just feels right!!

It depends where on the court they are running pick and rolls. If it's starting behind the 3 point line it's going to fail because no one fears a Giannis shot above the free throw line, and teams will make it their main objective that he only attemps mid-range jumpers above the free throw line.

Damn I wish we could have traded into the draft to get Whitmore, kid is an absolute scoring machine.

Would be nice if we use a pick to draft someone EVERY year. Find a diamond in the rough. Keep the pipeline flowing. We seem to be good at later picks. Use them! We missed a few players the last two years. Gotta be in it to win it.

Loving the optimism but I'd be careful. Thibs has his guys playing Playoff intensity in January/February while less insane coaches/teams tend to conserve energy this time of year. The real test will be whether we've got enough gas in the tank to handle playoff defenses running full-court pressure and double-team traps at Brunson all night while collapsing the paint.

Pound for pound, our talent level needs every advantage it can get, so I just hope that our mid-season dominance doesn't come at the cost of playoff performance later. And conversely I just hope that these sandbagging teams don't come out fresh when it counts.
