I figure the Knicks play .333 ball until OG and Randle return, which unfortunately is probably at least 6 weeks from now.

Let's see how many games that is.
16 or 17 games. So that's 5-12

After that they'll have 11 games to integrate everyone before the playoffs.

43 wins. 7th seed. Maybe they'll draw a good 1st round matchup.

Yup let's take the worst injury timeline. And assume all other teams stay fully healthy. Good math. Place your bet then.

So far the Knicks have had pretty much the worst case scenario with injuries. Plus, if you weren't paying attention, they are being deliberately cute and vague about how long the recovery etc will take.

Yeah, I'll stick with it's 5 or 6 weeks before you see OG and Randle.

iHart might come back in 2 weeks to hobble around on his reduced achilles like he did last year though.

This expectation that the organization owes the fans detailed injury timetables is what's cute.

Edit: I should ask if this post is a joke. You might claim so later.

We lost this game on defense not offense. Yet the realization is every single one of our best defenders were out injured.

I’m not getting low and negative unless we lose games in demoralizing fashion once our team is whole.

But one thing is for certain, I’d love to play this Pacers team in the playoffs when the games matter and our defenders are back.

I wanna stomp the smile off Haliburton’s face… and then offer Siakam a toothbrush so he can use it on them yellow ass uniform matching giggling teeth, with great pace.

Well damn
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

We have an emotionally immature bunch here.

Having said that, Boggy and Burks played well for their first game.
Taj has nothing left, and that’s the key to the loss. Sims had a chance at minutes, but couldn’t gut it out. Disappointing.
I’m surprised McBride couldn’t guard McConnell.
Brunson was incredible as usual.
Hopefully we’ll get IHart and Sims back by Monday.

2 games before the all-star break guys. Hold it together.

Knicks lost point of attack defense in Grimes but at least gained Burks calling his own number 12 times a game

Just for that, I’m gonna troll Grimes for the rest of his short career.

Can’t ignore those TJ McConnell minutes. He was schooling Deuce out there. I haven’t seen Deuce get schooled like that all year but he had no answer for TJ

We need healthy bodies back and I’m not sure why we still have an open roster spot when we desperately need more healthy bodies. Besides an old washed up Taj we couldn’t have found someone else to sign even to a 10 day?

There was a part of me that missed Sims tonight. Being this decimated with injuries is like telling yourself you’re pulling a 10 at a bar, confident you waking out with a 7 at minimum yet wake up beside a 3 at six in the morning. We gotta survive the ASB and get healthy I can’t even judge this damn team logically.

Ddv was hitting front rim on all his shots. Just gassed from carrying.

The Knicks basically rely on offensive rebounding against the Pacers, it stops them from running and limits their possessions. Without that core feature they don't pay for having Turner, and they get to play Jackson more who is entirely too small to matchup with our Cs. In a series and at full strength we'll just brute force our way past them, but they have the offense to make things more annoying than they should be, especially if Tom doesn't make use of all the things available to him.

With all those Taj minutes Turner gets to hang out near the rim on defense, and when we're on defense Taj is way past the point that you can ask him to slip a screen then run out to Turner, defend Haliburton getting downhill or run out to the guy in the corner.

So what kind of illness does Sims have? And how bad is it?

Spot TF on. People naturally (and rightfully so) get caught up in us missing 60% of the SL. But then the Domino effect come into play. Guys all of a sudden getting bigger USG, touches, minutes and communication responsibility. Injuries in the NBA are brutal it’s like a house of cards.

Maybe they are isolating him from getting the rest of the team sick?

Knicks lost the rebounding edge to the Pacers of all teams this game and by almost double digit 9 rebounds...wut

His shot selection makes him more Kobe Burks than MJ Burks.
So far not impressed by our returns here -- I would have rather seen evil Dante, Grimes and Fournier at the 4.
