KP is a nice dude. I'd be okay with him getting a ring.

He seemed anything but nice the last year or so when he was here

Celts win.. and its like F@ck them they are are the Celts.

Mavs win - f@ck that cheating low rent organization and f@ck Cuban, and F@ck Silver for giving him slaps on the wrist.

That said I think the Mavs win because they have 2 of the best closers in the league - along with Brunson . They have filled their need for big dogs and they are quite loaded overall.

I think the Celtics are coasting on Talent and regular season win count. When you watch these playoffs they havent looked dominant versus some piss poor competition. I think their defense is fugazy and will be scrambling to guard Dallas...

If they (Celts) lose it will be a very bad look for them. I would really enjoy the ensuing chaos as a result. :D So go Mavs...I guess....kinda....sorta .... :x

   this is where my mind is at as well. should be a glorious finals either way.

That was 6 years ago and there was very much mutual degradation of that relationship from both sides.

You've forgiven the Knicks for 15+ years of irrelevance and disappointment?

boston has been a team in the mix to win for years - them finally getting it done feels more deserved than the Mavs having a somewhat fluke run and winning after being in the lottery (intentionally) the year prior.

Same. Add Kyrie to the mix and I find it much easier to root for Boston.

I respect the games of guys like Tatum, Horford, White, and Jrue too. I don’t have any animosity towards KP anymore since he’s showed genuine regret over what happened here. Rooting for them isn’t as hard as having to accept the city of Boston getting another title… that’s the hardest part.

But like I said, what they did last year, Cuban’s crying about tampering with Brunson, Kyrie, and that crybaby flopper Luka make it easier.

In theory with Jrue and White the Celtics have two great defenders that should match up well with Kyrie. Same can be said with Brown and Tatum on Doncic. I think it is under the basket where the Celtics may find themselves in a lot of trouble.

It's a win/win for me. If the Mavs win, the Nets franchise will never recover from the shame, if the Celtics win, Kyrie loses, and the Nets will never recover from the shame that they gifted Tatum and Brown to Boston.

I hope everything bad happens to both teams

I read that there's a new policy where the league doesn't want the players drinking on camera. Pops looked kinda pissed there though  don't mess with Serbs man

Luka's mama is a baddie though. Pops was probably the man back in his playing days

That trade was so awful, you must've been livid back then seeing your Browns and Tatums holding the Celtics hat with the stupid leprechaun on consecutove draft nights. Who was your favorite NJ Net btw? I liked the industrial, overlooked vibe of the old Nets with the sky blue jerseys and then the 3D logo. J-Kidd was problematic off the court but as a basketball player he was the chit. I thought Rodney Rodgers was cool too

Oh for sure. Seeing Tatum and Brown drafted and becoming All NBA talents was just more fuel to the fire.

I would say my favorite NJ Net of all time was Kidd. He brought a level of play that I had never seen back then, every night back in those first two seasons was high level, fast paced hoops predicated on good team defense and he was the head of that snake. He is one of the best players I've ever seen play live, he could impose his will on a game and not score a point.

However, he is a complete dirtbag off the court and his drama with his ex wife Joumana nearly got Jason Collins outed back in the mid 00s before he was ready to come out. Collins wasn't a great player by any means but he was a really good dude on and off the floor in the community back then, so when I finally put two and two together after the fact, along with Kidd being an abuser, I could never look at him the same way. I know he isn't responsible for what his wife tried to do but I still put the onus on him for letting things get that far. Everyone thought Richard Jefferson was the "gay Net" though so luckily nothing happened :-?

Funny enough, all my favorite Nets are all from the NJ era. Vince, Drazen, Marbury, Sam Cassell, Chris Gatling, K-Mart (even though he's an ass hole), and I was always a Kerry Kittles guy from his Villanova days. Rodney Rodgers was an OG stretch 4 type. It broke my heart when he ended up paralyzed.
