Jalen Brunson is going to have to realize he will need to play his role differently this year. Regardless if he is a great scorer or not, he is still the PG of the team and it’s on him for the offense to run smooth. He should be looking to play the 2 man game with Kat. 9/10 he should be running the pick and roll with Kat. Doesn’t mean he has to always pass, but him and Kat have to be involved in the offense much more together.

Brunson is going to need to sacrifice a few shot attempts. There is too much scoring on this team for Brunson not to be a 23/10 assist player.

Knicks lose this, the season is over .... there's no hope to ever start clicking as the season progresses.

Season ends with the record much worse than ever expected: 0 win percentage.

It’s crazy bc the people saying this have been watching basketball since forever. Do we even remember the result of last year’s game 2? We could beat the pacers by 50 and it still wouldn’t guarantee us a damn thing.

Thibs offense will prevent your vision of Brunson. I do agree he needs to faciliate more, though. KAT's passive approach doesn't help. I think he has a high enough IQ to get that pick and role game going with KAT. As we said, this'll take some time.

I’d like to see him in assassin mode this game though. He’s got a number of reasons to want to make a statement this game with it being our home opener, getting killed by the Celtics last game, getting bounced out by Indiana in the playoffs, Haliburton getting Team USA selection over him. I know this game won’t make or break the season but I still want to see Brunson in kill mode tonight

We were 2-4 last year and 3-4 the year before, the season is clearly over if we go 0-2.

To put it in perspective, a lot of ppl were trashing on the DDV signing after game 1. He went 6-10 the next game, we thoroughly beat ATL, he became our starter, he was a huge part of the success we had last year.
