He’s def the best offensive big man we’ve ever had. I’m not sure if he might be the best offensive player period we’ve ever had.

Pretty much guaranteed victory since meLo has been clamoring for a kat giannis trade. He likes losers.

I missed the game too so whatever happened today didn't count!

Past years, we knew we weren't top tier. Even when we were a playoff team, we know we weren't one of the top 4 teams in the league. It wasn't even a conversation.

OK, when we got OG and went on that 18-3 run or whatever it was and I-Hart was playing well . . . maybe we thought we were top 4 before the injuries.

This year, say what you will, but fans are mad that we're not top 4. That doesn't happen unless we're close. Top tier is within our grasp. People are finding flaws. They found flaws in 93 when we won 60 games but lost to the unbeataBULLS. They found flaws when we made it to the finals in 1994. We've never been the best, well, not since Walt Frazier was running the show. But this is as close as we've been in a long time. Maybe we're closer now than we were in those peak Ewing years, 93 and 94 or 99 when the East was kind of weak and the best teams we had to get past were the Heat and Pacers.

No no no and no.

This is wishful thinking after a win.

We have a very thin bench and a coach who just plays his "guys." Very bad combination.

Second round team at best.

OKC = DEEP
Houston = DEEP
Celtics = DEEP
CAVS = DEEP

These are the top 4 teams in the league. A key player can get injured on the roster and they have someone to step up and contribute. We dont have that.

Still not a fan of the offense... one pass and the guy who "decides" to score basically go iso and the other 4 guys just watch, still too much dribbling... it's not a team offense but a "your turn, my turn" offense at a very high level that duped us into thinking it's a team offense. Usually only the passer and 1-2 other guys who wants to get the ball move, the other 2-3 teammates stand and watch.

I think this offense is going to continually get exposed by the real contenders: Thunder, Celtics, Cavs.

Enough being ecstatic after wins against the mid or bottom feeding teams. I want us to beat the top teams, 0-5 vs Thunder, Rockets, Celtics, Cavs (top 2 teams of each conference).

The expectations are now elevated and people still get upset if you write something like this.

We are supposed to be contending for a title and people will call you a hater for writing something like this.

Let’s be happy about winning, yes, but let’s also look at the bigger picture.

Absolutely, but to their credit I think the Knicks fans are getting more mature and they've learned we're only legitimate title contenders when we beat the top teams, and so far in the season we haven't.

We are more intelligent than we think we are, and we get shoved down a product advertised to be top quality but it's anything but down our throats, we're starting to reject until we're served the right product.

Imo, last year's team with the right levels of energy and vibes set the standard, but the energy and vibes are lost with departure of iHart and Divo... imo a team with 8 level talent but with the right levels of energy and vibes are always going to beat and more exciting for fans to watch and root for >>>> a team with 9+ level talent but with so so/ mediocre levels of energy and vibes. IHart and Divo are imo 2 of the best in the L at raising team's energy and vibes with their attitude, fight, and plays.

They're ultimate glue guys, we're missing the vibes raiser, we need to get 1-2 via trades.

Lose 1 or 2 starters and it unravels very fast because Thibs has not built up the talent on the bench the FO gave him to nurture. There is only one guy there who can probably step in cold and fill their role competently and reliably and that's Kolek. But Hukporti and Dadiet are not learning on the job and won't be ready when someone goes down. Waiting on Mitch is not the answer.

Pacers up on the Cavs and Pelicans making it tough for the Celtics. It would be a beautiful day if Knicks win and Celts/Cavs lose.

As much as I love the idea of Boston/Cleveland going at it each other in the 2nd round, we don't need that kind of false hope around here.

If the Knicks can't get the 1st seed, 2nd/3rd seeding doesn't really matter aside for homecourt in the 2nd round.

Must just be a wild coincidence that we both missed the best game of the year. Couldn't be an us problem.

So let me understand in the last few years when thibs had a bench of IQ, divo, deuce, hart, ihart he didn’t use them? See how stupid this sounds? When thibs has good enough players and depth he plays his bench.

At this point we'd be losing the trade.
