All I see the ones who defend Thibs do is post insults, but no actual articulation about why we're wrong and they are right

If you can't state your position without insults then zip it

Here are the reasons why TONIGHT calling thibs a moron is ridiculous, for one Kings can score quick
And in bunches had their starters in, second they scored 143 points on 41 assists, that means the team is playing very unselfish which is to the credit of the coach who used to be known as a iso heavy offense, he thibs has allowed the offense to become modern, i know for sure if the team gave up 143 points many would be bashibg thibs for his defensive scheme, but when they score like this, you don’t want to credit the coach at all.

If you genuinely believe Thibs can coach a team to a title, then I will respect your belief in him.

I have zero faith in his ability to manage his rotations and field a squad with any legs left deep into the playoffs.

But even more than than the minutes issue is Thibs gets outcoached by better coaches routinely and rarely makes in-game adjustments. He is a coach who can't figure out how to bust a zone defense and he's supposed to be so knowledgeable on defense.

Have you watched all of the games this season. I've missed maybe a game an a half. And what I can tell you is our offense is wildly inconsistent and it does revert to ISO ball a lot, sometimes for the majority of games. The primary reason we're able to score at a higher clip is we have lots of talent and most of them are also willing passers. We have multiple all-star talents and lots of scoring power and that tends to mask lots of Thibs inadequacies like his inability to craft a consistently competent defense without his usual dependence on a rim protector like Mitch.

Do you want to win a championship? This roster should be good enough to make a run THIS YEAR, but with Thibs I'm afraid we won't contend. You're free to disagree, but I don't think we have much chance of going deep in the playoffs with him at the helm.

Now, back to the game, if KAT suffered an injury after being put back in at the 3 minute mark for absolutely no good reason would you be in here defending Thibs as a great coach who just got unlucky with KAT's injury?

Because the last I checked, successful coaches pull their starters soon after they are assured of a victory. But not Thibs. I consider that malpractice.

Do i believe Thibs is a good enough coach to win an nba championship absolutely, do I think this team currently is capable of winning a championship even if pat riley was the coach I do not, this team does not have enough depth or size to win a championship, but if they don’t win a ring it will not be because of the coach..

So you think the bottleneck is our talent and not the coach.

We're not going to be on the same page any time soon, so we'll have to agree to disagree

Some fun offensive ball motion madness made the game watchable, but it was mostly bad defense on both ends

We're feeding Josh Hart lots of HGH so he grows another foot and becomes the most dominant player on the planet

And Thibs is the best coach since John Woodson

He didn't put up crazy stats, but the Knicks played so much better on both ends of the floor when he was on the court which shows with his team high +27.

On offense, he set great screens to free up guys like Shamet for open looks. On defense, he was a menace, ended up with 3 stocks but also did a lot of intangibles that dont show up in the box score

Precious has some Hart in him

I'm totally cool with him giving guys practice days off...he better with the way they play the games. But if anything this game was a perfect example of why you want to have fresh legs with this team. The energy level...I didn't see short shots.

More reason to better manage the minutes and keep guys away from 40 mins especially when you don't have the luxury off 3 days in between a game.

Starters balled out but our bench was real bad tonight. McBride/Payne were 1 for 12 combined for a total of 7 points. One lone positive was Shamet. Not doing great to instill confidence in the old man.

Whatever lift they got from their coaching change may have dissipated, but Fox was playing hurt and he was a shell of himself. Fox missed more shots at the rim than anyone I've seen in a while. He was not himself. With a healthy Fox they'd be a much better team offensively. Until he's healthy, they're probably an easier opponent for us.
