So with Stanton potentially being out for half the year, is Dom Smith the main candidate to take over at DH? His stats looked good in 2019 and 2020 which is the only years Cashman looks at.

He's the perfect hitter to do nothing at the plate with runners in scoring position and less than 2 outs.
