I believe we saw the peak version of what this group could ever become heading into that OKC road game. We will never go beyond that level. You can bring in a different coach and it won’t move the needle as much as you think it will. The roster is structurally flawed. Trade some guys while their values are high and retool around Brunson.

Unfortunately I think Thibs will get another season to derail us because I doubt Leon will pull the plug that fast. He should but out of loyalty and friendship he wont. Its too bad because I don't want to waste another year of our core's prime or our yutes development.

That fast how? They have had Thibs here multiple years and he and KAT are a bad mix.
They asked Thibs before the trade and if I remember right he gave his ok on the trade. It’s time to bring in a new coach and if that can’t work then you start moving talent. There is a process to this and it’s always replace the coach first. Especially when the coaching hasn’t been good overall. Unless they think they can upgrade from KAT Thibs has to go.

has thibs ever refused to give his blessings on a player acquisition? Front office thinks just because he said ok means it really is ok for him.

Every game, he puts up efficient numbers, as if he doesnt generally have an off-game. Defense - he is not a C; gawd forbid you hafta put him as a rim protector when he isnt one, no?

I don’t think this team is structurally flawed at all, more like the opposite, but the coaching badly needs a change.

they sign PJ Tucker and Beauchamp on 10-days and they don't play
what is the point...Thibs only is comfortable playing "his" guys. 2-way guys get run all the time and contribute because they are playing for the lives...but nope they can't find 10 minutes for some of those guys
why even draft young guys when this **** refuses to play rookies.

He doesn’t have to spend any time trying to come up with schemes since he is not running any real plays anyways. Even in game coaching is not there. He got the substitution patterns to the minute. He may be standing up the whole game but it is obvious his mind is not there. Dude has the best gig in the entire league.
I had a boss like him in the past.
he would get to work basically used most of the time like social hour...then around 5 when most people want to get home to there families start asking questions about things and wants you to stay late to pretend he's putting in all those hours.
He is is the most ineffecient coach in the NBA. They say he never leaves the Westchester coaching facility...wtf does he do all day long? We never run different player, we don't change up the defensive scheme...he doesn't change up the rotation. So wtf does he do all day long since he's a "gym rat".
