I miss last year's team.

It's a combination of vibes but also expectations. Even post OG trade nobody thought we were going to become some great team. January happened and hype was created. Then brunson carried when injuries happened etc.

It was just a feel good season combined with overachieving.

This year the expectations were so high. And the team just feels off. The record against teams over .500 being terrible etc.

Hopefully they flip a switch and ball out in the playoffs but I have my doubts.

It's April and I don't see the improved chemistry. I thought this team would be special but they don't have the physical toughness or execution.

Also, Duece is too small to play the 2 he's only 6'1. Shamet should take is minutes since he's our best shooter and better on ball defender than duece mcnugget

Brunson and Shamet would be the worst defensive backcourt in the nba by a wide margin the extra height nonwithstanding

Who owns the tiebreaker?

Knicks dropping to 4 would be such an epic win for every reason.

Bucks should be an easy series for us.
Cavs should be a 6 gamer.

Celtics would have had a harder path to get to us going thru Orlando, then either Pacers or Pistons (oh boy, Pacers vs Pistons would be must watch)

We could catch them softened up a bit.

They were supposed to start a fight or something because they threw a lob at the end of the game???

It's kind of a microcosm of the game. The Pistons wanted this one more than the Knicks did. They wanted to send a message. We weren't really interested in doing that. Probably at least in part because a few guys were out but also there's no reason to go all out with our spot pretty much wrapped.

Tuesdays game was the last regular season game mentally for this team, they are clearly over this season and probably the healthiest they’ve been going into the playoffs in last 2 seasons and ready for the playoffs to start.

I do wonder if they decide to sit players the next 2 games and let the seeding play out however it may go and value rest, recovery and health since they will have home court in the 1st round regardless.

Donte was limited in some ways but he helped the offense a lot with ball handling / making plays and deep shots without thinking

Basically no win situation. When we lost Hartenstein. Not enough two way defense and ultimately Bridges and Towns are like glorified castoffs, as is Tom lol
