they're still not playing 5 out. none of the contenders are.

well 2 of the legit contenders BOS and Indy are injured and they play 5 out. And I'm not suggesting you can only play 5 out to win. I'm saying with our roster construction if you don't want to waste KAT's value your not going to get the offensive production from him at the 4 like you would at the 5.

boston tore down their whole team down. they are not gonna be the same team even when tatum returns. who are they even starting at center ? and indy lost turner. in other words.......no

and kat will play center against bench units where we can survive his defense easier and he can be featured without brunson on the floor. thibs was doing that. you'll get your 5 out there.

The last 2 precious champions did and OKC does have a 5 out look that they use frequently. You don’t need to do it all the time but it certainly needs to be a weapon.

boston tore down there roster because of Tatums injury and they weren't going to pay those taxes and not be a contender. Not because there system wasn't working. It won a championship that way.

OKC probably needed Haliburton to tear his achilles in order to win there chip 2

he was going to beat them in game 7

come on man...I love the knicks just as much as you. If they have a healthy KP instead of old man washed horford we don't win that series.

Horford was still starting and what were they like 6-1 in the playoffs (3-0 in the finals when KP started).

The biggest difference is we have 2 guys we have to cover for on defense when a lot of these teams don't. So we need to outscore them. You can't play slow grind it out games with Brunson and KAT and expect to win because we have more weaknesses. Similar to how Indy doesn't care if teams pick on Hali they just are going to run you to death and outscore you.

Look I'm all fine with moving on from KAT and play more traditional ball but until that point just putting him at the PF full time isn't not going to lead to success. He's gotta play some 5 to open up the offense.

he is gonna play some 5. just not against starting lineups where our defense will matter the most.

we would have beat them last year too if we didn't fall asleep at the end of game 1. that's the only legit reason i think they had for firing thibs. that shouldn't have happened.

I said they ended our season twice in a row...I didn't say we can't beat them

I'm telling you even the Knicks FO office didn't think they were getting passed a healthy BOS team...its basically why they lined up firing Thibs regardless of his post season success (outside of winning it all) before the post season even started.
