They "settled" with Steve Nash. We chased Lebron for two years. At least the hopes of having him join our team. We were wrong and we "settled" for Amare. If by some absurd achnce we don't land this guy I'm certain Walsh will add the necessary pieces to this roster to make it a contender. With that said I still think he's coming....but if we have to "settle", maybe it won't be the worst thing in the world.

In the meantime though
Amare
Melo
Felton
Gallo
Chandler
Fields
Douglas
Mozgov
Randolph
Williams
Is one deep ass team to build from. Whoa momma.

Agreed. If Wilson Chandler is our "consolation prize" then you really can't complain.

NYman15 wrote:Berger also noted that trade talks between the Denver Nuggets and New Jersey Nets are back on. "The Nets, after backing away a week a week ago, are slowly starting to make progress again on a Carmelo [Anthony] deal. Most executives believe that will go right down to the deadline, because the Nuggets believe they can get the same deal then that they can get now. And the Nets aren't going anywhere either, they want Carmelo."

This guy tends to contradict himself he has said melo won't re-sign with new jersey but now says he could get traded there. What does this mean to you?
