Not that it's a biggy, but you can't pick yet. Anyone that can pick ahead of you has an option of taking Balkman right now.

No problem for me but if someone picking before 8:08PM wanted him, they'll be able to take him. So hang close until your slot and see if this pick is ok. Probably should be.

Re: Build-a-Team 7.0 Draft FA/Trades Thread (FA Starts 8PM E
Detroit Pistons select...
CHRIS WRIGHT
Nicknamed "Top Flight" on account of his above the rim game, Wright was one of the most physically and athletically gifted players in college basketball, a human highlight reel put in a powerful 6'8" 220lb package. Known for his intense play and will to win, Wright was a hounding player that flourished off the boards, blocking shots and using his physical tools on both ends of the ball to create mismatches.
Wright took the semi long road to the NBA by dominating the D-League this past season with his physical intense play, rebounding and shotblocking prowess.
We get a cheap, young, physical wing that can defend 3 positions on account of his terrific athleticism, strength, wingspan and intense style of play. He'll be used as a situational player to help defend some of the bigger more physical SF's in the NBA that the Pistons will need to meet on their way to a championship and in situations where we look to press and run the floor (where he will be very difficult to contain).
Not the most offensively skilled player (beyond dunks and putbacks off of offensive boards) but we have enough of that anyways. Wright we imagine will provide an Amir Johnson type player who will play physical, rebound, block shots, run the floor, finish and just be all over the place using his physical tools to it's best advantage.
Wright didn't get a chance to play much but when he did get minutes he showed that he had the potential to make his presence felt (capped off by a 25point 8 rebound 11-14 performance against the Spurs to close out the season which help garner him an impressive 18.38 PER for the season).
We also add to our depth of young physically potent and high upside young players currently in our front court as Wright (23 years) joins Ayon (26) and Motiejunas (21) to form what we hope will be a dynamic trio at C, PF and now SF for the long haul.
