Re: Around the nba part 7
Still trying to figure out what was going on in the mind of Junior Buss to make him believe that Mike D'Antoni was the guy that was going to be able to get the big ego's and already apparent dysfunction happening on that team straightened out to be able to live up to billing. Honestly. The only other head coach that has coached in the NBA the last 3-4 years that would have been a worse choice to help get that team to play as a single unit would have been Kuester. Yes, yes, D'Antoni's offensive system with Nash might have been something but that would have only gotten them so far IF it actually clicked but otherwise, it was clear that this team needed someone that can manage ego's and get them to check it at the door to the arena each night. D'Antoni himself has repeatedly said throughout his coaching career and again as he was "leading" the Knicks down the tubes, that he didn't believe that it's the job of the coach to manage ego's. If he was inheriting a team of Kobe Bryant and a great bunch of role players for his system then sure, he can let Kobe do his team and expect his system to take care of the rest. But wasn't the case. I've said this before, when Metta World Peace seems like the voice of reason and the guy most focused on trying to play the system and without agendas you know you're in trouble. This is exactly what made Phil Jackson a great coach.

Junior Buss was taking lessons from the Hal Steinbrenner school of ownership.

How is he a traitorous scumbag? He did what he thought was in his best interests at the time. Whether it was about "winning" or his kids is irrelevant. I don't understand why some of you guys are so bitter towards Nash because he never owed the Knicks or its fans a damn thing. He played the field. Showed some interest, and ultimately chose another team.
And you should be thanking Nash for choosing the LAL over NY. Felton turned out to be the better fit. So in the end everything worked out for Knick fans.

You would think that with the way some of these guys are bashing Nash, that it was Mo or Derek Jeter signing with the Red Sox or something.

By his logic, Melo is a scumbag (he's not) for not waiting for free agency so we can still have Gallo, Ill Will etc. If we talking about wanting to win a championship.
Also, I'll be honest: I'm a tad underwhelmed with GoT this season. Too much screen time for the Stark kids (minus Arya of course).

I agree, that was a blessing in disguise.
I took alot of heat for not wanting Nash for the price it took, but i personally feel relieved the team has done well without making that choice.

Re: Around the nba part 7
not only would having nash killed us this year.
he would have been hurt and we would have worn down kidd way too much. But we are playing so well and Shumpert has yet to scratch the surface.
Imagine shumpert next year. Playoff experience, a full year recovery from the ACL injury. He is going to be a huge piece in the playoffs and for many years forthcoming.

If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, their lottery pick goes to the Suns. That would be just desserts.

Trust me, you're going to be in awe of this season when it's done. They're just introducing new characters and setting things up. The payoff will be monumental. That is all.

I can admit that I wanted him here so that he could pair up with Lin. I was even having thoughts(at the time) about giving up Shump. Shame on me.

I don't think we would have gotten Kidd if we had gotten Nash. If that trade had gone down, we're probably complaining about Prigs being our starting PG right now.

its not even about the Knicks...."I'll never join LA. Theyre our rivals and Im old school. I cant see myself wearing a Laker jersey." His words, summarized. You cant say all these things then do the opposite and still expect me to respect you.

Come on my man, you know that's fanspeak. Kind of like how only the most inbred Sox fans are calling Youk a traitor.
