I still think that is the better trading scenario than anything for CP3.

At least it shows a direction of “youth” over everything.

Sure, but Wiggins does have value as a player. That contract is big, but he can play. If they just keep him and add a good piece in the draft, they'll contend. I'd also like them to trade for say Myles Turner / Ingram / Gobert / Beal / Markkanen+Porter, but Wiggins looks just fine on their wing too.

Wiggins (Like Randle) is a decent 3rd option, but here lies our problem, We don't have that first and second option. He's not a guy you can put the ball in his hands at the last second and tell him "get to work!" Being on the warriors (I understand their financial position) he is actually a perfect compliment to a healthy Golden State team. With us he's too inconsistent and has lazy games. We would have to make a second trade like for Westbrook (GS#1 pick, Randle, Ellington, Payton, DSJ). somewhere along those lines

Us taking Wiggins was never for us to win, it’s just we would want the LaMelo pick and to keep our own. It’s very much a stretch it would happen. Also his fit on the warriors would be superseded by the fact they were paying their third/fourth option a supermax in bad financial times. His contract is costing them around $100 Million based on the luxury tax

Small deal but -- Knox for Omari Spellman. One rebound, the other doesn't.

Going into FA

I am trading dudes, left and right.

1st Trade: R.J. Barrett for John Collins - Needs a PnR movement big for Ball. Best PnR player in the NBA. Best movement big in the NBA. Would Atlanta do it, idk but it's worth a try.

2nd Trade: Knox for a two future 2nds. - Likeliness, slim but it's worth a try.

I doubt I can get anything Smith Jr.

Ball/Ntilikina/Smith Jr.
???/???/Brazdeikis

Collins/Randle/Tillie

Signing Joe Harris
Signing Aron Baynes
Resigning both Harkless and Damyean Dotson
Signing E'Twaun Moore
Signing Jahlil Okafor

Ball/Ntilikina/Smith Jr.
Harris/Moore/Brazdeikis
Harkless/Dotson/Williams
Collins/Randle/Tillie
Baynes/Robinson/Okafor

I just choose to go heavy on fit, PnR and great screeners, great shooters 2-5, and movement guys. Obviously, this is probably not a playoff team defensively, offensively, they will get PPP and with a PG like Ball, you need those types of players around him.

I didn't like Barrett's fit with Ball or any of the PGs in this draft. Even in Atlanta, I think his best role might be the 6th man.

Knox just needs to go at all costs.

I wanted to get rid of Smith Jr too but who wants him? No one.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2894041-knicks-rumors-ny-focusing-on-surrounding-rj-barrett-with-complementary-players

The New York Knicks have a potential star to build around in RJ Barrett, who was the third overall pick in the 2019 draft.

But the team is now determined to fill out the roster around him this offseason, per SNY's Ian Begley. That means bringing in shooters who can space the floor and help improve the team's fourth-worst shooting percentage this year.

Begley mentioned a lead guard as one option but also noted that big men need to have some range as well for new president Leon Rose's team:

"Prior to Leon Rose taking over, other areas of need identified by New York's front office/scouts included a forward who can stretch the floor.

"One person in touch with members of the organization at the time said part of the thinking for the club's offseason was centered around finding players who complement rookie RJ Barrett."

That's apparently still on the agenda, per Begley: "An SNY source said finding a forward who can knock down a shot—in the draft or free agency—is one item on the Knicks' list.

Warriors fan here - no way they give up their pick just to unload Wiggins, but I do think they’d be willing to trade down, as Lamelo isn’t a good fit in GSW.

Fair enough as long as it’s not for Wiggins. Wiggins is too large a contract to just trade down for.

That would be a well rounded team f youth and vets, I feel that Oladipo is a must giving us a true star to move forward. Having RJ/Oladipo, Mitch/Woods would be perfect and would move us into a playoff birth.

Mitch straight up for Jaylen Brown.

Boston saves a lot of money and gets a center to help them compete now and in the future.

Kemba/Smart/Hayward/Tatum/Mitch

We get a nice 2-3 duo that’s a better fit for today’s game. Could draft Wiseman or trade for someone like Bamba to fill in the 5 spot.

Yup. I think I may have originally posted that. And I super qualified it as a VERY VERY unlikely fantasy scenario.

Since the Warriors aren't in a hurry to rebuild or count on Wiggins as a #1 or #2 option, they can be patient IF they think they need to move him at some point for a player(s) that fits better for another championship run.

Otherwise, he can be there as a young, talented guy who benefits from less pressure with great scorers/passers in your big 3, who MIGHT further develop (defensively) into the solid, "worth his contract" #2

But again, no hurry for the GSW

Cade Cunningham
Jaylen Brown
RJ Barrett
Randle or a stretch 4
Wiseman

That would be a nice core

Nooo worries Dubs fan, we don't want Wiggins and his contract. That was just 1 poster with ALOT of time on his hands.

Is there anyone 6-10 in the draft you think the Warriors would be interested in? In our draft thread I thought Deni Avdija might be someone the W’s would trade down for. I Thought he might be able to do some of the things Draymond used to do before he was cooked.

Why? I posted it on the trade board in the Jaylen Brown trade thread... didn’t get laughed off there which speaks volumes lol. Those fukkers salivate waiting for a trade to attack.
