Move on, heal as a nation and a country

What we need right now is unity, not division

And not punish the Republican president who committed several crimes while in office, we can't appear too partisan

Now, the question is, am I talking about Trump, Nixon, Reagan, or Bush here?

Also, the classic "We need to reach across the aisle"

If Dems don’t punish the former GOP now QAnonsense party then they have failed this country.

The telling point to me as a litigator in my real life is that while Giuliani and others screamed “massive, pervasive fraud!” at every press conference, that was not reflected in their court filings which not only did not allege fraud, but explicitly stated they were not alleging fraud. The reason: even bad lawyers know that you can get sanctioned and/or disciplined by your state bar for filing bad-faith complaints.

That showed me this was about 1) servicing Trump’s narcissism and humoring him to try to avoid having to deal with the meltdown that would occur when he finally realized he’s lost (seems to be in progress) and 2) a new chance to grift + he’s raised over 300 million since the election, much of which was, according to the fine print of his solicitations, earmarked for his slush fund.

The never provided an6 evidence of fraud in court because they simply never had it.

Hopefully hey sedate him enough to prevent any further tragedies and travesties from occurring until his term expires.

well it's officially affirmed by congress and trump has lost, yet again. he lost the popular vote, he lost the electoral vote, he lost multiple recounts, he lost at the state level, he lost in courts, lost in the supreme court, he failed in the terrorist insurrection attempt to stop the certification with fascist street gangs, and has lost in congress. One can only dream of how he loses next, hopefully in his criminal defense case.

Trump conceded at 4 a.m.

Pence clearly gave him a choice to concede or be removed

Even in concession he remains a delusional coward:

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Positive Note:

Warnock is the first black Democratic Senator from the South

Ossoff is the youngest Senator at 33 and the first Jewish Senator from the South

May the change underway in GA be the future

Trump supporters told me that Trump is not to be held responsible for the actions of a few crazy protestors. He is not responsible for any of this.

True cancer. I really hope he is banned from ever holding office again. It won't stop him from rabble rousing, but the words will be less effective when we know he can't become President again, and the MAGAs know he can't become President again. The world will thank us for that. The only way out for the country is to reduce this guy to just another guy saying stupid **** on the internet and TV.

I'm not down with the white trash destroying the capitol

For starters, one way to get the country's chit together is to prosecute them and the MAGA cops that let them get away with it. Show everyone that the system is going to flush the Nazis out of the law enforcement ranks, because it is clear as day that if those were people of color storming the Capitol then Washington D.C. would have been littered with corpses yesterday

I'll be looking to this new DoJ and the FBI to take action. This puts them on notice

Before yesterday he was going to be tried, convicted and sent to jail.

After yesterday any possible apprehensions of any state or federal officials to prosecute Trump for his crimes vanished

That was an organized insurrection. Trump will never sniff political office again

Wow, you really need to work on your communication skills. Of course it is not acceptable to try to break down the doors of Congress because you don't like the results of a fair election. You said a lot more than that though and it was pretty insulting to the intelligence of the many engaged and serious folks who populate this board, people who are deeply concerned about the fate of our democracy. You trivialized them by attributing equal blame for being on opposites of a divide. If you're on one side of the river and the people on the other side of the river are pouring toxic waste into a common resource, do you claim both sides are equally responsible?

And what is this rubbish about never associating with someone who is registered with either party? Are you going to place ads seeking only the company of other estranged non-partisan independents? Sounds like a small world you'd be creating for yourself. I'm sorry, but it was just a ridiculous post. And it was highly confrontational to show up in a thread you don't participate in. It was like you wanted to show contempt for everyone and you succeeded.

I get that, I apologize. Today’s actions just make me angry and I don’t see it going anywhere which stresses me out for the future. I’m probably just saying non-sense out of frustration. I’m not blaming Democrats at all, sorry if I worded it that way. I just think after social media today, I just saw the worst of both sides and I just needed to let some anger out.

Regardless of which side we are on, today was very sad. The current state of things is very sad. I just want it to get better.

this seems to rare today. 100

respect!
