I'm a Knick fan and I have a problem.
Ok. Got that first sentence out of the way. I mean, otherwise, why would I have thought for 10 minutes "Just what the hell are the Knicks going to do on Monday"
Not trying to stake out every option so I can say I was right later. I've been convinced they are trading for Sexton. I still think it's a maybe. I've advocated for guards from Powell to Fournier to Trent Jr to even DeRozan, though in certain contexts.
I've floated the idea of a Sexton/Ball backcourt. I think I've seen some Oubre smoke.
I think it comes down to Sexton OR Ball, and more likely Ball and:
Knicks trade for Beal.

Ball
Knicks bring back Rose
Knicks bring back Noel
Ball there just seems like there is loose chatter around him. Beal is connected to WWW. The Knicks went through some effort to get extra assets. I have no idea what a Knicks/Washington trade looks like. Washington made statements that moving Westbrook was to create room to get a guy next to Beal but I'm not buying that. They cleared one big contract, they are moving the other.
I don't even like this move the best, but I think it's the move.

I'm not putting in any of Vildoza, McBride, Grimes, Obi, Knox because I'd think most of them are going out. I know. It doesn't make sense, maybe RJ would be in the trade TO them, but I think Beal goes for some of this years picks and a lot of future picks and Washington starts a rebuild\pivot away from the Westbrook\Beal thing. Maybe RJ's in the trade and they sign Oubre. Lol.
BUUUTTTT Zach is pretty credible. He wouldn't throw something like this out there if there isn't something somewhat big in the works
